Domus Caterina

My stay at Domus Caterina exceeded all expectations. The view from the apartment was breathtaking, far surpassing anything I had imagined. The highlight, however, was the warm hospitality of the host’s parents. They made the experience truly special, creating a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere throughout my stay. The convenience of the parking made traveling hassle-free, and the apartment itself was nothing short of wonderful. Clean, spacious, and equipped with everything one could need for a comfortable stay, it truly felt like a home away from home. I cannot recommend Domus Caterina highly enough. Whether you’re seeking stunning views, delightful hosts, or simply a relaxing getaway, this is the perfect destination. I look forward to returning in the future.

The courtyard was cute and the view from over the concrete seat was beautiful

The main photos are of a completely different room and there was no sea view from the apartment unless you walked outside and across the courtyard. There were also no windows to open and let in some airflow. Only the front door.

Great view and a lovely staff that’s always ready to help you out. Elisabetta and her crew are all kind hearted people who wish to help you out in the best possible way wether it be suggestions of what to do, help with the busses or any other troubles you might find, so that you can have the greatest possible vacation on the Amalfi Coast. And for those of you who are worried about the communication between yourself and Elisabetta (and her crew). You’ll have nothing to be fearful about. The English level is very good, easily understandable and you’ll find that it is no problem to communicate.

Nothing(!!) about our trip that has been a “problem” or a cause of troubles is at fault of Domus Caterina. Everything about our stay at Domus Caterina has been amazing.

The actual location of this property was amazing. Amalfi - specifically Furore - is absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed how accessible it was by car. The parking was great and the area felt safe.

My husband and I wanted to spend our one year wedding anniversary in Amalfi. We had been saving since January and planning this wonderful trip. A big part of this trip was where we were going to stay. Upon browsing Booking.com we found Domus Caterina. When looking through the pictures, we fell in love with the balcony views and how gorgeous the interior was. Now this is the important part: When we were booking this stay, there was no option or choice to chose between apartments. There was no option to chose an apartment with or without a balcony, and there was no indication anywhere that there were other apartments to be rented. (After talking with the property, they said that if the other two apartments are booked, they will disappear from the website... which that was also misleading considering that in all my years of using Booking, it has usually states "Sold Out!" on the other options when you book). Anyways... now given that this was our one year anniversary trip - I TRIPLE checked to make sure that it had all the amenities we wanted. NOWHERE did it state that we were actually getting an apartment without a balcony. Fast forward to the night of our arrival... we walked in to our apartment and realized it was actually a small, hole in the wall apartment. Sure, it was clean and it did have a full kitchen which was appreciated. But NO VIEW, NO BALCONY. When I saw the state of the room, my heart sunk and it may seem like an overreaction to some.. but when you've literally spent all the money you worked so hard to save for a once in a lifetime trip and get THIS.. you too would be disappointed. Long story short... BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU BOOK. A lot of the images are misleading and nowhere does it state that you are getting an apartment without a balcony. They will not help you or compensate you for their false advertising - you will have to file a dispute. We are greatly disappointed and will be taking further measures.

Everything was above expectations. The apartment has everything you need including a parking spot which is not easy to find on the Amalfi coast. Highly recommend it.

Clean, bright, spacious, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine next door, amazing view from the balcony.

But enjoying the view from the balcony is hard as the building is right above the U-turn of the local road and it can become very noisy. Windows are good and cut off the noise almost entirely, but it can be really annoying. Also it’s quite far away from main tourist spots - 30+ min to Amalfi and 1+ h to Positano

It was a lot of place, very clean, good equipment kitchen, nice patio to spends evenings.
