Leisure Isle Loft Apartment

The location, the amenities and the excellent service from the staff members. Free SUPs, kayaks and bicycles. Restaurants were within walking distance. Overall, it felt like paradise to be hoisted above the trees and witness the morning sunrise.

The appliances in the apartment were a bit outdated, unfortunately. The gas oven and stove had to be lit with matches, and the kettle on the stove was showing signs of rust. With the gas geyser, adjusting the water temperature was a bit tricky. While the apartment itself was generally clean, we did notice a few things that could use attention. The cupboard handles felt sticky, some of the shelves had a layer of dust, and the couch wasn’t very clean—there were a lot of black marks on it.

The location is wonderful and just a few minutes walk to the lagoon. The property has a lovely garden and a swimming pool which was very refreshing. Lovely birdlife in the area. We had a nice patio in the upstairs loft and enjoyed some evenings having a braai and sitting outdoors. The staff are all very helpful and very friendly. The premises are pet friendly and a number of people brought their dogs. Bikes and supboards are available free of charge for use by the guests.

The place needed some maintenance. A number of lights upstairs on the patio were not working. We also always enjoy some nice towels and bedding which could be upgraded. But otherwise nothing serious.
