Villa Waldfrieden - Ferienwohnungen und -Haus

Easy check-in and helpful guidance to get the district public transport pass; this helped us with a discount later on when catching the cable car up the Walchensee. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well lit. The kitchen opens onto a garden and an outdoor seating area where we enjoyed meals and drinks. The location is well off the road so we got to enjoy the local bird song without disturbance. Best of all, the Ferienwohnung is perfectly positioned for day hikes starting just outside the front door.

We were asked to pay a quite sizeable deposit on the room, which was a bit of a shock as I was not expecting to do so (and I had forgotten the pin on my credit card and had to draw the money from an atm). But I got that deposit back in cash at the end of the trip, so all good. There is a charge for parking outside the residence but given how little parking there was on the narrow street this seemed fair.

Location in a quiet street close to the centre and close to nature.

The sofa bed for the children was not comfortable.
