Location, space, comfort and aesthetic

The only downside - 3 levels and steep stairs. I was so intimidated by the cellar steps we took our laundry offsite.

Lovely large upstairs flat on 2 floors which is quite roomy very central near the market place. It has 2 sitting rooms and a good sized kitchen. Very near shops and cafes, pubs and restaurants.

There isn’t any parking but found some nearby with no charges. You can park free in the market place after 6pm - 8am

Parking is an issue as has been mentioned in other reviews. We were there 4 nights, free parking was mentioned on Burlington Rd a short walk across the park, however we never found a space there at any time of the day. The town hall car park very close to the property is the best bet, we often had to drive around a few times to find a spot but always managed. Over 4 days spent about £20 on parking there so not too bad. The one factor that did affect our stay was that it was a festival / carnival weekend in Buxton, this means a very large and loud funfair is set up about 20 metres from the front of the property on market place car park. It ran from about 3pm to 11:30 pm so if you were in the property during that time it was exceptionally loud with strobe like flashing lights hitting every window. The host said he was unaware the event was on this weekend so I assume doesn’t live in the area, its probably worth doing research to check that there aren’t any events like this for the dates you’re booking if you think it would bother you.

Well equipped and comfortable apartment in an excellent location to explore the surrounding area. Excellent restaurants within walking distances.

It would have been nice to have had a freezer as it limited what food you could buy.

Location was great, very helpful hosts, lovely property in the centre of Buxton. Cleaning was almost perfect.

No parking outside property unless outside permit times, but parking nearby, one bed was uncomfortable but we bought a topper to supplement this, one bedroom not as clean as large bedroom, may have been accidentally missed during cleaning.
