Au Cygne

Host very welcoming and nice to have enough provided for first day’s breakfast.

The bedroom was quite cosy.

The place looked exactly like the photos—spotless and well-organized. Christine thoughtfully provided milk, orange juice, coffee, and some breakfast essentials to get us started. For those who enjoy cooking, the kitchen was well-equipped with quality pans, olive oil, and salt. Christine and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming. Our main goal was to explore the Christmas market in Strasbourg and we were travelling by train. Although the apartment is about a 10–15-minute walk from the train station, Christine’s husband graciously picked us up when we arrived and even dropped us off when we left, which was such a thoughtful gesture, especially since it wasn’t part of the booking. To top it all off, Christine gifted us homemade Christmas cookies when we departed—they were absolutely delicious and such a kind touch. We highly recommend this stay! It’s particularly convenient for travelers with a car, but it’s also manageable by train. Trains to Strasbourg run every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends (at around 4€/person) making it a good option for exploring the area.

It is a well equipped apartment. It was clean and all was functioning well. There was AC in the apartment. The apartment is tastefully furnished, so it provides a pleasant stay. There was a cold orange juice and milk and some breakfast food as a welcome. Nice of the host. The hosts were kind and helpful. There is a parking in the yard and it is safe. All in all it is a nice place to stay.

WiFi was terrible. As I had to work, I had to use my own mobile net. So that was not a good experience. And the location is out of Strasbourg, but by car easy to reach. So really there are NO PROBLEMS with this accommodation.

Very clean, all necessary amenities provided, quiet place, hostess was so friendly and helpful with quick tips, patient enough as we tried to practice our broken french with her:-),her welcome confiture and biscuits, toasts were great for quick breakfast, strasbourgh can be reached by tram B from its end point Hoenheim which is 5 min drive from au cygne and has a P+R parking meaning daily cost is just 4.6 euro for upto 7 people with return fare of the tram and parking fee.

Not a negative point for au cygne , however just keep in mind that it's closer to strasbourgh, however if you want to combine alsace tour incl colmar, kaysersberg etc., it is as far as 1 hr drive at least, not a problem if you have enough time and not bothered by some traffic on road:-)..
