It was convenient for the castle and the main tourist square. The bed was comfy and wifi was provided free of charge.

There were various plumbing issues: the cold tap on the shower initially did not work and the hot water was burning hot so impossible to shower the first day until this was fixed. The kitchen tap leaked down the back of the cupboards and all over the floor. We had to balance a tilted saucer underneath it to redirect water into the sink to avoid disaster every day. The socket for the boiler was dangerously near the sink and hanging out of the wall. Although the boiler was gas there was no temperature control and no Carbon Monoxide detector. There were no bowls supplied, only plates. The shower curtain didn't go all the way round so water went everywhere. The toilet seat was very loose and kept on coming off. The toilet roll holder was also loose. The moulding on the edge of the bath was broken and could catch someone easily in the leg and the tiles above the bath/below the shower were sticking out allowing water to go down the back of the tiles. The tiles in the bathroom had been painted over and the paint was coming off and sticking to our feet. The only window was nailed shut so the only ventilation was if the door was wide open onto the street for everyone to see you. The back of the house was built into the hill so no windows or ventilation/through breeze there in temperatures of 37degrees and no natural light meaning it was very dark even during the day. The artificial lighting was inadequate and half of it was faulty or didn't work at all. Only the shower was fixed - none of the other issues. In spite of all this the owners threatened to charge extra if the towels became too dirty! The house was on a very steep hill and cars had difficulty reaching it safely. There was no tourist information in the house and although there was a TV and radio no instructions. It would have been especially helpful to mention the lift from the street above to the main street as this would have saved a lot of steep climbing and slippery descents.

There was very little light in the apartment, almost none in the kitchen and very little in the bathroom. I asked to install a second bulb in the bathroom , it was promised but nobody has even got in touch me within 5 days of my stay. The apartment was infested with cockroaches, what was very ugly, several photos as a proof are available. Not good value for money.
