Mosteiro - Lissabon Altstadt

The location was beautiful and very charming. Quiet neighbourhood and the flat was well equipped. The host was very friendly and helpful, always replied very fast. The check-in was easy.

The shower was a little leaky: after showering there was some water under the sink (the shower is right next to the sink). Not a tragedy though and can probably be easily fixed ;)

Very clean pleasant flat. Everything you need on site. Location a bit out of the way so quiet. You can hear the neighbours from upstairs, but this is typical in old buildings.

There was a problem with the wifi, but after contacting the owner the fault was fixed immediately.

bad bathroom smell during the night didn't smell during the day (i think it's coming from toilet water). very narrow stairs it was hard to carry a large and heavy suitcase. But, I knew it's going to be like that.

It was unique to stay on top of a hill across from a major attraction

Additional 20 euro for checking after 8 pm, that is not very flexible or accommodating. Host doesn't offer any exceptions to this 20 euro rule. No stairs so be prepared for going up 3 floors of tiny stairs with your luggage bathroom and common area are very tiny rooms are so so clean doesn't look like anyone mopped the floor or vacuumed the rugs the room smells like a smoker's house Will not recommend for family to stay as it's not great for the price you are paying

We loved the location of the apartment, close to Santa Apolonia train station and right in the Alfama District. The apartment itself was clean (not just tidy) and was thoughtfully appointed. Communication with Rodrigo was easy, and he was friendly and full of helpful suggestions. The No.28 tram was also close-by and was very helpful when we’d walked out share of hills for the day.

The mattress is probably nearing its end of life. We ended up rolling into the middle of the bed and didn’t sleep terribly well.

The location was perfect for walking everywhere and access to the 28 tram just out the front.

You could hear every footstep of the people upstairs..I guess unavoidable in an old building.
