I liked the size of the apartment, and the equipment wasn’t bad. Overall, the apartment was comfortable. The garden and outdoor seating were beautiful.

However, the furniture and overall décor are quite outdated, much more so than what the photos suggest. I was also unpleasantly surprised by the requirement to pay a 100 EUR cash deposit upon arrival. I’m not a fan of personal key handovers and property tours with the owner either. As a frequent traveler, I prefer a lockbox and written instructions for using the apartment. As a guest, I felt uncomfortable with the owner, who seemed to distrust guests in advance. The owner did allow us a late check-in (which I had arranged beforehand) and an early check-out, but made unpleasant comments about it being outside his working hours. As I mentioned, I prefer a lockbox to avoid these situations."

The location was great, very close to Stralsund. The apartment was spacious and could easily fit more people than just our travel group and it was also well equipped, so it's suitable for longer stays of families.

I would like to have the handing over process to go better. I prefer collecting keys in the box. This wouldn't probably match with a deposit system that exists here, so actually someone needs to meet you, show you around, you'll provide 100 EUR of cash and this wouldn't be a problem, if we could speak German and the owner could speak English. We ended up with a little bit awkward check-in and check-out.
