Blou Porselein Guestfarm

The accommodation is a beautiful Cape Dutch farm setting in a beautiful area of the Western Cape. The accommodation included a large family style room, kitchen and bathroom near Hermon. The owners and operators were all very pleasant and helpful, and the dogs were delightful company.

We only slept there for the night and came in very late. And left early so the place was perfect for that

It was fairly easy to find Blou Porselein. Our house was very welcoming, the furniture is lovely, the bath is just amazing. The views are breathtaking. We got to ride on the "stroper" as well, which was quite an expereince. The fur babies already on the property are friendly and came to visit us regularly. We loved every moment of our stay, and really did not want to leave.

There was nothing we didn't like.

We had the pleasure of staying here the past weekend and I must say it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The owners were wonderful and extremely friendly and hospitable and ensured our stay was a great one. The farm itself was a haven of tranquility, nestled amidst picturesque countryside. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking, with rolling hills and lush greenery as far as the eye could see. It provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our accommodation was cozy and comfortable, exuding a rustic charm that complemented the farm's ambiance perfectly. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and breathing in the fresh country air was truly a treat for the senses. During our stay, my son had the opportunity to participate in various farm activities, such as collecting eggs, feeding the animals and going with Oom Carel to harvest wheat as it is currently harvesting season. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a chance to reconnect with nature, I wholeheartedly recommend booking a stay at this remarkable farm. You won't be disappointed!

I really enjoyed being on the farm, the absolute peace and tranquility. Because it was weekend, there was no farm activities, and the only noise was that of the chickens as well as the occasional moo of a cow. Lots of place to walk around, enjoyed seeing the canola fields and the wheat fields up close.

The farm is beautiful

The photos are not an accurate representation of the room. The TV is in a location that you can only watch when sitting on the bench. There is no heater and it was very cold. The dogs are noisy and constantly barking. The listing does not warn about the poor condition of the gravel road. Braai facilities on the section of garden in front of the unit will also be nice.
