Casa Above George

The apartment was fully equipped with everything I required for my stay. It was roomy and cozy, a real gem of a location right on the edge of Lake Como. There was ample parking and some nice local eateries within a ten minute walk of the apartment. The surrounding area was relaxing and quiet, but it was also only a short drive to Como itself. I would love to go back to Laglio above George.

There was nothing to dislike.

Hello Diego, I really enjoyed my stay in your appartment. It is well situated, very picturesque and quiet. A dona Michaela came to the bus stop to accompany me to the appartment. Lovely lady. I would recommend it to anyone!

A little hitch is that the Wifi is not working properly. It works for a few seconds, then disappear and comes back again. Must check this. Otherwise, all splendid! Best time to visit Lago Como.

Our host was really nice. Decent space.

The furniture was old and showing signs of tears - the couch had patches on it and a blanket over it… was very uninviting. The furniture had dust and water marks on it which made it feel unclean. Also a lot of stairs- be prepared!

Michela met us on arrival with the keys. She is very kind and informative. She was a great host throughout.

The room we stayed in is a studio and therefore typically on the small side. This was fine for us as we didn’t spend much time there but also we did not realise this when booking.

Very convenient location, close to walking path. Instructions were very clear from welcome staff/host and easy to understand.

Limited parking, but never had issues locating a parking spot.

The apartment was ok except for steep stone stairs to access kitchen and living room. The location is terrible.

Apartment not accessible by car which means you have to drag or carry your luggage over steep bumpy paths for several Minutes. When you get to the building you have two steep stone staircases to just get into apartment None of this is in description. Do not stay here if you don’t like steep hills and climbing steps. Parking is difficult and not near apartment. Not good for transferring luggage or returning late at night and having long walk back to apartment in dark. Not recommended !
