The host is very friendly and met us late evening.

Location in the city center directly on top of the Garibaldi place. Apartment well equipped.

No air conditioning, Not a really a problem, but during a heat wave, it is very hot at night.

Location was very central.

it was a long journey. Plane, train & taxi. My phone had no reception/internet in North of Italy. The host texted me a couple of hours before our expected arrival (5pm) with door codes etc. This was not the arrangement & as my phone was down we didn't get the communication. We had to get the lady from the Coffee shop next door to ring Stefanie to get in the outer door & then for the key box on the Apt door. There was no electricity in the Apt & the second bed was not made up for us. We had left Ireland at 4am (that morning) & were exhausted & the expectation was that she would be there to meet & greet us. At the Coffee shop owners insistence she arrived a half an hour later & sorted the electricity & made up the second bed. While the location is central on a main Square it was very noisy at night with people on the street up to 2 in the morning & then the small trucks collecting rubbish etc on the street between 4am & 5am. So we got very little sleep.

Location is very good right at the harbor with all the good restaurants bar very nearby! Nice that there was a washing machine and the basic things in the kitchen (salt peber, oil etc).

The apartment had an odd ability to always be hotter than the outside no matter what we did. And it can be very noisy there if there is people on the streets - and there is a bell tower that you can hear very clear in the apartment.

Photographs cannot possibly capture the true beauty of this apartment; it is incredibly spacious with very high ceilings (and powerful ceiling fans!), beautifully finished and appointed, and in the most convenient, central location you can imagine. ALL of my friends in Lerici (all of whom are far wealthier than me, and most of whom have homes there) were envious of the flat and amazed that I was able to find such a place!

The only thing that I can really say that is at all negative is that it doesn't have aircon, but, I mean...it's Europe. You can't assume a place is going to have it...the ceiling fans made it very comfortable at night, and I had absolute no trouble sleeping. (the bed is also extremely comfortable, which made falling asleep easy!)
