Augusta Street - 4 Esq

Excellent location in the heart of the most buzzing area of Lisbon. Lilia (our host) was very helpful and accommodating. Of the 4 places that we stayed during our visit to Lisbon, I would rate this place the best.

4th floor location and no elevator was the only drawback as we arrived with considerable amount of baggage and had to carry it up the steep steps.

The location, right in the centre of Lisbon, was fantastic, really the best thing and the reason we booked. The apartment was spotless, and Liliana very contactable. Each room has its own air con. Dishwasher was great to have.

The glass door into the ensuite is very off-putting. I would suggest changing it. For 4 adults, there was only one small sofa or some kitchen stools to sit on. Maybe add 2 small armchairs by the window? The stairs up to the apartment are very steep (we knew this at time of booking), not for the fainthearted!!! Beds were very hard, which .might suit some, but just be warned.

Fine apartment in a great spot. The rooms were very nice and the location cannot be beat. The very busy (but car-less) street below made for fun viewing and quieted down at a reasonable time.

The only thing holding back from a perfect review is the fact that nowhere in the description does it mention the unavoidable slog up four floors (eight flights) of long, steep stairs - and no elevator. That might be just fine for young, more fit travelers, but had this older couple we been warned about them, we would NOT have stayed here. This is a glaring omission in the description, as the other negative comments show.
