Casa do Castelo - Superior House by APJ Prime Houses

The location is good. The view is nice. It is located in historical area and cannot be reached by uber. Yet there is an elevator just a few minutes away that can go to the city centre.

The location was good and the view from the living room windows was great.

The person who met us was rude, the supplies were minimal, the coffee machine didn't work and the remote for the TV was MIA - even after we asked where it might be. The area was noisy at night with other people coming to the neighboring apartments late at night and waking everyone up with their yelling and music.

The apartment was as described and the hosts arranged for someone to be there to open the house as it was after 8pm, but to do this we did need to book an airport transfer. The apartment was clean and tidy and had great views over the river. It was located in the old town but there were plenty of places to eat within the locality. We enjoyed the walks to and from the apartment.

Unfortunately there was some confusion with the city tax. We ended up paying for 8 people although we were only 6. The form you had to complete would not allow me to change the number of people in our party, due to unforeseen circumstances friends were unable not come on the trip. It seems the numbers should have been changed on the original booking. It was a little frustrating as I had asked for advise on how to alter this and was given no useful guidance, which was disappointing.

Location and space

It wasn’t clean, one shower didn’t work and everyone got only 1 towel per person for 6 days!

Very spacious clean apartment. We travelled as a group of 6 and there was plenty of space. Good location within walking distance of place to eat, drink shops etc

Unfortunately we had a break in on our first night so be vigilant and make sure all the windows and shutters are locked properly. We spoke to a resident who lives there and he is not aware of any previous burglaries there.

The apartment was stunning. Just everything about it. Really stood out. Great size bedrooms. 3 bathrooms so 6 of us staying found it so easy getting ready etc. Great kitchen too. Well stocked. Great views too. In a great location. Bakery almost next door which was amazing. Also ate at the neighbouring restaurants on a night. Brilliant. Super market 5 mins walk. Lifts down to the lower areas from the super market, getting you to the main square in about 10 mins. Near the castle too. Would def recommend and would stay there again.

Apartments are spacious with 3 separate bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, there’s a large lounge with incredible view to the city and sea. Well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, plenty of glasses/dishes/kitchenware enough for our group of 5 adults and a child. Located on ground floor, but as the building is on the hill it has great views. Just on the corner is excellent bakery making delicious award- winning local pasties and eclairs, and restaurant with terrace. In few steps a castle and a number of shops/restaurants/fado places. Down the street there’s a lift which brings you to good supermarket and city center
