Location very good. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable

The drainage in the shower in the loft and the sink in the downstairs bathroom were very slow to drain. There was a musty smell when you came into the apartment probably due to the drainage problem but you didn’t notice the smell after awhile

Central location - we were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to visit. Well located for Rossio train station and the street itself is quiet but there are a lot of pubs/bars in the area. Living/dining room is spacious and it was handy having a kitchen we could prepare lunches/dinners in. Bed was a good size and comfortable but only came with single pillows each. The balcony is small and can only be accessed through the bedroom but was a real sun trap in the morning. Information and key code all sent via WhatsApp which was super efficient.

The overall vibe of the property is very c.1990s - it feels like you’re staying at a flat your parents friend bought 25 years ago and hasn’t updated since. The stairs to access are narrow and very dark. The second bedroom is very cramped and the walk-in wardrobe has broken drawers. There was no fridge freeze as shown in the photographs and the kitchen lacked some basics (tea towels, salt/pepper/bin bags/coffee pods for machine). The boiler was also unplugged when we arrived, so there were some cold showers until we worked out what was wrong. The downstairs bathroom was in need of some tlc and the drains smelt off most days. You only get one set of towels so if you stay more than 3+ nights I’d suggested brining your own.

We chose it because of the location. It was perfect. The property was charming inside.

It could do with a lick of paint. The kettle was faulty which could have caused a scald . The upstairs shower leaked a little through the light fitting into the downstairs bathroom which was worrying. The terrace & balcony had cigarette /cigar butts which hadn’t been swept up.

Stairs to reach apartment dirty. There was not enough light had to use my cellphone flashlight. The upstairs bathroom that we used had mold on tiles and shower curtain and smelled. Had to be very careful when showering because the bathroom floor got all wet. The water would not go down the sink in upstairs bathroom. There was an air conditioning unit and tv in loft but neither one worked. My husband was the only one able to open and close the door because the key would come apart.
