Belem! Charming 2 Bedroom Apartment w terrace, Wifi & free street parking

Comfortable flat, good location.

The toilet was obviously leaking and smelt VERY badly. This problem is obviously long standing, and the flat should not have been rented until this problem was solved. I don't understand how Booking.com can let this happen. I hired a 2 bedroom apartment so my daughter could stay with us, but she refused to stay there, and if we could have afforded to do so we would have also left, as the toilet smell was so bad. Also the apartment was not 100% clean - dirt on the cushions etc.

The housekeeper that met us upon arrival was very kind and reassuring since we arrived at midnight. Close to Belem and can take train to Caiscais with arrival in 30 minutes.

There were ants in the kitchen and bathroom and the owners seemed to be aware because there was an ant killer spray in cupboard. The pillows were small and uncomfortable. There were additional ones in the closet but they were stained. The fan in the living room did not work. There were two sockets that once you pull out the cord, the plastic socket would come with the cord as well. The picture of the outdoor space was deceiving , in fact it is a shared space with the Neighbors and is divided with a straw type wall. If the neighbour washes her clothes ( sweet lady)the water drains from the washing machine making it not possible to sit in the area. Shared my concerns with the owner and he said he would fix them. Also since it was a local neighbourhood some of the coffee pastry shops were closed because of holiday season. Also note if you arrive after midnight on the day of your arrival even though you do not use the house for a full day, the owner will charge an extra 50 euros for the late arrival.

Great location, close to all attractions in Belem. Lisbon can be reached with various public transportation in less than 30 minutes. Free parking in the street, nice neighbourhood with small market and a lot of restaurants. The host was super nice, and there is a binder with a lot of recommendations.

One of bedsheets was torn, so it would be nice to have some newer ones. Wifi could be faster

Terrible smell of sewer

Big windows to the street, we could get in to the spirit of living in the tenement. Enough space for 4 person family to live very comfortable. Great kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable bed.

We could use the terrace more to relax in the evening reading a book , if the light was not lit by a photocell. But it was a small inconvenience.
