Very clean. Dishes, cookware, stovetop/oven, dishwasher. Very odd that the microwave and refrigerator are outside on the enclosed patio. There is also a clothes washer out there. I was there for 15 nights in Floor 1 apartment. Halfway through the stay, they dropped off clean towels and bed linens. Loved that the bed had a top sheet!! Great pillows! Heat and cooling are from portable fans. Heating fan worked fine in winter. Secure building - you need a key to get in. Quiet residential area with mini-market on the corner and there is a big Pingo Doce a 5 minute walk away.

Not the best location if you plan on doing Belem sightseeing. It is a 10 minute walk down to the bus/tram stop and then another 10 minute bus/tram ride to the sites. The buses/trams that stop right by the apartment go in other directions. The shower is quite small and there is no place except the floor to put your shampoo and soap so it makes taking a shower and washing your hair very tricky. Took about 10 minutes to figure out how to turn on the shower water. Also, no hooks in the bathroom for bath towels or clothes. No salt, pepper, plastic wrap or foil. Espresso maker is Krupps for the big capsules that do not taste as good as Nespresso. Thin walls - you can hear the noisy neighbors.

Good location. It had all the amenities I needed with local shops and cafes nearby. Able to access train stations by a short walk of around 15 mins or so. Buses and trams accessible very close by. Miguel was very helpful in providing info about the area and travel within the city. Maria met me at the apartment and she was very friendly and pleasant. She kept in touch from the time I landed until I reached the apartment.

The flat above was slightly noisy late into the night, probably because of the FIFA world cup.
