City Nomad

We enjoyed the view. The bathroom was good, the bed was comfortable.

There was no air con. There needs to be some towel rails, or hooks or towel stand in the bathroom. We would have preferred a headboard on the bed. We would have liked a smaller pan or two in the kitchen. We didn’t know until the last minute that the flat was on the top floor.

The apartment is quite big, clean and had everything we needed Kitchen appliances were more than enough and the guest left us a bottle of wine as welcome present which was very appreciated

It was just a bit cold (we stood there in February) and the heater could just warm one room at the time

Big windows in the living room that make for very pleasant lighting in the late afternoon/evening. Nice view. Property located in a pleasant area of Lisbon. Guest service resposive and ready to help. Comfy bed. Washing machine and dishwasher provided, which was great.

When I arrived at the property it was cold in Lisbon. The apartment had the same temperature as outside (9°C), and no heating except for two small electric radiators. What's more, the electrical system wasn't able to cope with more than 2 loads at the same time (using oven/kettle and electric heater made the fuse trip), which was really annoying. Cleanliness ok, but not great. Cheap IKEA furniture that lacks attention to detail (no place to hang wet towels, not enough cutlery, fridge door opens the wrong way, hospital-like main lighting).

A well-designed apartment in a perfect location. A wonderful view over a narrow, picturesque street and a small café, which I also recommend. Despite the powerful hairdryer and the big mirror, the room contained everything we needed. We appreciated the welcoming bottle of wine. If you get through all of the formalities and survive collecting your keys at the other hostel, you will experience the spirit of Lisbon in this place. Despite some inconveniences, we recommend the City Nomad.

The decoration, along with the owners’ draconian warnings prior to arrival, made me feel uncomfortable. We received a message close to our arrival time stating that we had to fill in some online forms (you have to check in in advance) and provide our credit card number via an unknown operator. The apartment took a deposit, which is fine, but in my opinion should had been done via Booking.com. We were instructed to collect our keys in a nearby hostel, which was maybe 500 m away and rather shabby. Who I encountered upstairs made for an awkward experience. There were two men: one at the ‘reception desk’ who appeared unhappy to have visitors, and another who was having a nap on a bed. The first man woke the second one up and threw our keys directly at his forehead. The second man unblocked the keys with his mobile phone and made me take them from him—he hadn’t even stood up. The owners should definitely change how the keys are collected. The day before departure, they demanded that we return the keys to the same place (it hadn’t been announced before), but we refused and left the keys inside the room (there is a self-closing locker).

We had a problem and Clara answered my message almost immediately and she was with us very soon and sorted everything. She was very helpful. Apartment was very clean and comfortable.

I didn't like that we had to pick the keys up from a hostel, about 10 minute walk away. Also 3 flights of stairs and the where not well lit.

The location of the apartment is really awesome. It is really close to the historical center and all main attractions. Infrastructure around is really cool too. There is a bus stop right in front of the entrance and on a tram stop on the next street. In 5 minutes you can find a metro. There are good grocery stores not far away (Auchan and Lidl). There is a good green grocery in the same building. The apartment has windows on east and west, so in the morning you wake up with the sun and in the evening can see beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.

Sometimes it was noisy, but it didn't bother us too much. These are not the cons, but my wife would like to see a large mirror in the apartment and maybe hangers for clothes
