Great location. Charming and comfortable space.

The location is ideal.

We were most offended when the host asked for €100 damage deposit on arrival. We are a family of four (two parents and two adult children) , and have never, in all of our travels, been asked for such a deposit before. At the end of our short stay, the host's son announced that he would return our deposit "after inspection", and we found this to be most offensive as it was obvious that we had left it in perfect condition. All in all, a very awkward, unnecessary, and unattractive interaction. In addition, the shower gave off a putrid smell for the first two days. We were concerned about using it at all. We were initially unsure if it was the water or the drains, but it did seem to sort itself out on the last day, so it must have been the drains. Although there were four of us, the host only left two towels. Not a big problem really, but because of the awkward €100 deposit arrangement, we were afraid we wouldn't get our refund, and had to raise the matter with the landlord at the time of his inspection. Awkward really! Finally, there were no comfortable chairs whatsoever! After a day exploring the city, it would have been nice to have a comfortable chair, but no. All four of us found ourselves sliding around on chairs that you couldn't get comfortable in!

The location

Location is very central, quiet and easy to find.

Shower is in the bedroom, which is really uncomfortable if you are travelling more than 2 people. Toilet is only reachable via one of the bedrooms, so someone might go the toilet while you sleep if they want to use toilet at night. The flat has no air conditioner, so it may become very hot during summer. We stayed there on the very beginning of May and it was almost too hot to sleep already even with the windows in living rooms opened and the fan on. One of the bedrooms does not have windows, so if you want a bit fresh air at night, you must leave doors to the living room opened. Keys of the flat are collected only by meeting the owner, so it makes things not as convenient as it could be because you have to organize the meeting at the flat door.

The location is very central and a great base to explore Lisbon by foot.

Location was great. Quiet street.

Maybe air conditioner, but not a deal breaker as most apartments in lisbon don't have. They had good fans. Made a big difference!
