Luz Soriano Apartment

The host was really friendly and helpful Fatima was amazing and so was Rita and very helpful.

The wifi or data (no network connection) didn’t work in the bathroom or in one of the bedroom. The man upstairs kept humming throughout the day and at night you can hear him in the bedroom, it woke me up several times.

The location is great and the apartment is fully equipped with everything you may need. It quite large too.

The beds are old and uncomfortable.

The location. It was near everything. There was important information and phone numbers in a folder (taxis, police, owner).

We went in January and the flat was a bit cold. There were 2 heaters in the bedrooms and we had to take one of them to the dinning room. It'd have been great ito have another plug for it. We had to unplug the lamp.

The Apartment is in a fantastic location ! Close to all amenities i.e. Shops, Trams, Metro, Bars, Restaurants etc.........even an ATM directly next door ! The Apartment is very well equipped should you want to cook.......We preferred to dine out. Very clean, comfortable and serviceable. Fatima was waiting for us when we arrived and the Key handover went smoothly. Great value for money. A very pleasant stay. Thank you.

The Apartment is a little tired in appearance and could benefit with a little modernisation, but that did not detract from our enjoyment.

Excellent location, nice sized apartment (2 bed one bath), great communication from staff and easy to find the place. Full kitchen if you need. Easy walk or transit to most attractions.

The beds badly need to be replaced, you can feel the springs. Shower has lots of mold in the caulking, also the shower head sprays over the bottom of the shower pan (should be deeper). Bathroom door is very hard to slide closed. Overall a clean place but needs a deep clean, some dust, built up grime etc.

Rita and Fatima have been super kind and available, the check-in has been very smooth. I had the whole apartment for me: two bedrooms, one big living room, one kitchen and one bathroom. For 55€/night, it was very good! Just be careful in case the other bedroom is booked by other guests, that might be very uncomfortable because of lack of privacy. The position is very comfortable to reach the main attractions in the city centre (Baixa/Chiaro) and the bus stop at 2 minutes from the apartment makes it even more comfortable to reach Alfama. Metro stop at 5 minutes walk.

The house is very old and would need renovation, especially for doors/walls and in the bathroom. It was overall clean, but not very well cared of. I went in June and the temperature was ok, but note that it isn't air conditioned, so I think it might get very hot/cold. I've seen one small fan and one electric stove, but I haven't used them. The district of Barrio Alto is full of pubs/restaurants, hence drunk people. I didn't feel 100% safe in the apartment and on my way to it, it seems like a very poor and dangerous neighborhood. And, of course, the noise from the street is very uncomfortable, especially if you sleep with open windows and in the weekend. Good if you want to party, bad if you want to sleep early and rest properly. Lastly, bear in mind that Barrio Alto is on top of a hill and that all roads of Lisbon have stairs and uneven pavements. If you plan to reach by public transportation, try to get bus 22/28 or metro to Baixa/Chiado, otherwise it will be a nightmare to get uphill with the luggage. Stairs to the apartment are also narrow and steep.
