OUR HOST - she was caring, helpful, and friendly LOCATION - excellent as it was in a quiet neighbourhood and everything we needed was only steps away--- -A well stocked grocery store with fresh bread and croissants (Fruity & Fresh Market: https://goo.gl/maps/XcdxqktaiFQ5KNMeA), -Restaurants (two we frequented were Cortesia Campo de Ourique: https://goo.gl/maps/7xkcf8KoMiKyS7f78 and Fresco Lisboa:https://goo.gl/maps/yXHTP17FpXYCTCvD7), -Craft beer stores (Mestre da Cerveja: https://goo.gl/maps/9fWUkjVrr5Qr2pSXA - Craft Corner: https://goo.gl/maps/T5uyavrkm85f2M84A) -SIM CARD- we got one at a shop nearby (Quick Fix at 70B R. Tomás da Anunciação. It was only 10 Euros -Beautiful park- the apt is a short 12 minute walk downhill to a large, tranquil park that has a cafe -Jardim de Estrela https://goo.gl/maps/pBhMtKUL4tEQ1tbD6 and the Banana Cafe (a chain, so make sure you go to the right one: https://goo.gl/maps/wrf5kEiVzqVbLcVw7). TRAM 28 stop #13 https://goo.gl/maps/qxaSzyVJcCKVxf6z8. This is the ending/starting point and is only a 11 minute walk from the apartment. It's three (3) euro cash to board. The streetcar/tram empties out at this stop so you can choose to line up again (pay again) and be guaranteed a seat. You might have to wait to be near the front of the line to get that seat but it's well worth it! Several trams tend to arrive at once so the wait time is minimal. APARTMENT We LOVED the apartment! It was a perfect size with the three bedrooms AND the main reason we chose this one over others is it has TWO washrooms. With four people, it was very convenient to have two. Someone could shower while someone else used the other toilet. The kitchen is also well stocked with dishes, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils. The fridge is large and the washing machine worked well.

The only issue we had was with the shower stall. One door appears to be missing so as you shower some water tended to wet the floor mat in front as you showered, however there were three floor mats to interchange while we hung the others to dry, so it was workable. If a door cannot be replaced, perhaps move the other sliding door to the front so that there is less chance of water getting out, or if it does, it will spill onto the sink area instead of the floor.

The apartment is spacious and clean, with new furniture, comfortable beds& pillows and the two bathrooms (including towels, blow-dryer etc) are a plus for a group of 5 people. Also the living room is spacious, nicely decorated with a big table where we could all sit and enjoy food& drinks. The kitchen has all necessary utilities, big fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine etc. (You can easily cook your meals if you wish to). There was nothing missing, we had all the comfort and the neighborhood is really quite and nice. I saw a review mentioning the plains passing by and yes, it is true, but it's nothing to be bothered by. We slept just fine with the windows open. The owner, Carlota, was really nice and waited for us to do the check-in at 11 PM as our flight had a delay. Thank you!
