Cosy Baixa Apartment

The apartment was spacious and well equipped with mostly everything we needed for a five night stay in Lisbon. It was very centrally located near to the Metro for connection to the Airport and all other forms of public transport too. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area around the apartment and it was close to many tourist attractions. The bedrooms were spacious and having a bathroom and an en-suite was very useful given that we were a party of four females. The lift was useful too for getting our luggage to the apartment. We received a nice welcome pack of biscuits, water and some lovely wine too.

Some aspects of the cleaning could be improved and a bit of updating would improve the apartment too, particularly the bathroom. Also provision of some hooks to hang coats and jackets would be useful in the hallway as well as a full length mirror. We experienced some noise whilst trying to sleep in the twin room during our stay which was from a building across the road being renovated, they seemed to start work quite early in the morning!

The apartment was pleasant overall and served its purpose. The appliances were high end for the most part. There was a washing machine.There was plenty of storage in the bedroom (after removing all the extra bedding).There were lots of restaurants on the street below. The location was good (except for the lack of a street to park on.) Great water pressure in the shower. Plenty of windows to open for fresh air.

We didn't know that the street the apartment was on was a pedestrian street. we had to find a place to park a couple blocks away and take all our luggage on foot in the rain on arrival. The parking lot that was suggested cost 47 euros/day, not the quoted 35. We found a less expensive one (20 euros) within walking distance. We didn't appreciate the mold in the main bathroom or the hairdryer hanging off the wall--it looked like it was going to fall off. The plug for the hairdryer was not a european plug (US?) but luckily we had our own adapter. The kitchen was kind of disorganized with not enough outlets. The main bedroom was practically by the front door (which didn't seal well) and we could hear the neighbors coming and going, etc. The towels were rough and heavy--almost like rugs.

Great location. Walkable and easy to get around. Spacious apt with comfy beds and excellent a/c. Two bathrooms were really nice to have. Elevator to 5th floor. No apt above us, so very quiet. Well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, though we didn’t use either. So much food good in Lisbon. Terrace doors over pedestrian-only street below were great to let in air flow and watch the local scene below, but shut out all noise when closed.

The snack, bottles of water and small bottle of wine were a very nice touch. Location was excellent!

There was a bit of a smell in the bathrooms that I think they are working to address.

The balcony looking out on the street with views of Lisbon. The sunny kitchen with a washer and a clothes line out the window to dry clothing was fantastic. Huge place with plenty of room for our family. Two bedroom and two bathrooms were a huge bonus.

The door was initially quite difficult to open. No staff to assist. Luckily a man staying there helped us.
