138a Old Star & Garter

Sally was extremely helpful; she walked us through the apartment and made sure we knew where everything was. She left us eggs, bread, milk, butter, biscuits (plus tea, coffee etc) – which was very useful when the pub forgot to put in our food order on our first night! The apartment is in a great spot – easy walking to visit the castle, church, pubs, restaurants and shops; a short walk to the railway station (we came by train); and lovely countryside walks close by. We expecially liked the parlour room pubs!

it was self catering so breakfast did not apply but the owner, Sally, had kindly left us milk, eggs, bread and butter and fresh fruit. The property was bigger than we expected and a real boon to have the free parking as it meant we could leave the car and walk everywhere. It was in a great location for easy access to the town and nice and quiet at night for sleeping. The apartment was beautifully furnished, cosy and comfortable and a very high standard of cleanliness throughout. Sally was very welcoming, friendly and informative and there were plenty of books and information about Ludlow and the surrounding area. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any friends who wished to visit Ludlow.

Absolutely nothing!

We have stayed here before and everything about 138a is perfect including Sally's hosting. We have stayed elsewhere in Ludlow but nothing can compare with the standards at 138a and it's as good if not better every time. It's superb.

Nothing to complain about.

Everything you need is there.Best well equipped kitchen I have ever come across,so many utensils, crockery,pans etc.Cosy and comfortable, plenty of units with drawers and hanging space.Extra storage if needed.Bathroom lovely.Private parking,close to centre of town.Ludlow full of eateries, pubs and a lovely place.Last but not least, comes Sally, our host.So welcoming,personable,and took time to show us round her property. Most helpful and accommodating,no issues with contacting her during our stay,always there to help.Most knowledgeable of the area and history.She's a diamond,a big thank you to her 👏👏.

Can't think of anything

It was very clean and in a great location. The owner (Sally)was really friendly and helpful. We loved the kitchen and having space to lounge and relax with the wood burning stove.

It was quite cold at times and took a while to heat up.

Perfect location to explore the lovely town of Ludlow. Accommodation was spot on and the host left lots of little extra goodies. Everything was spotless and cosy

Nothing

Sally spent time to go through all the facilities of the property. She gave some very helpful hints and tips for places to visit in Ludlow. The property is located near the centre of the town which is accessed easily on foot. There is a parking space(s) available at the end of the driveway should you need it. The fridge and cupboards in the kitchen were stocked with essentials so a trip to the nearby supermarkets was unnecessary.

Everything was excellent. Location very central; convenient for both the rail station and the town’s attractions. Despite being on Corve Street, one of the town’s main streets, the flat and especially the bedrooms at the back, were very quiet. Comfortable in all respects, with a superbly equipped kitchen (though we weren’t cooking much). Excellent value. And Sally very kindly went above the call of duty to meet us at the station to walk with us to the property. (I have a visual impairment). Love Ludlow, and would definitely stay here again.
