Spacious and comfy

Nothing to fault

The welcome pack had biscuits and crisps. I thought there would be more from the picture. We had to buy milk for coffee and tea, when the picture showed milk and bread etc. Egg cups would be handy.

THE STUDIO: Studio is as described and finished to a very high standard. Plush furnishings and bed is super comfy! Well equipped and stocked with nearly everything you would need for a little getaway. Outdoor picnic bench area was ideal for a wee BBQ and the grounds to the property are also beautiful being that it’s within a closed wall garden. THE AREA: Surrounding area is quite tranquil. Location is nearly slap bang in the middle between Crieff and Gleneagles which is ideal. THE HOST: Co-host Oliver was friendly and very welcoming.

THE RULES: Setting rules for guests 48hrs prior to checking in on a non-refundable booking, which states that guests have to strip all the bedding off of the bed due to “covid”. Some people have afforded such luxuries in their life which mean they don’t even have to do that themselves at home, never mind when they are paying someone for the convenience of staying in their place to getaway from housework and chores for a couple days (I refused to adhere to this one rule out of principle. I am not a maid). Co-host Melissa’s responses to previous negative reviews seem pretty passive aggressive where she tries to thank the guest for the feedback before chiming in about how they are wrong and about other rules that that wernt followed which arnt stipulated anywhere in the property description or in the “apartment policies” section of the listing. Scolding previous guests about dishes was one of the examples I seen. When guests make a booking, none of these rules are presented or agreed upon so it is ridiculous to try and enforce these last minute. Check in time of 4pm is also the latest time I’ve ever had, anywhere in the world. Checkout time seems like it was originally 12pm but now down to 11am (the time has been crudely scored out and corrected on the property information printout left within the property. THE STUDIO: Every towel felt like they had been dried on a radiator and were all hard and crispy. The place could maybe do with a dishwasher which there is space for under the sink where the bin is (which would also help with the dishes issue if it’s a recurring theme with guests). The scourer pad for washing dishes had seen better days and there was not even any spare ones.

Location was perfect as was the apartment and grounds. Peaceful, relaxing and host was welcoming.

The location is perfect for a peaceful get away, located in the walled garden of a country property. Nice easy walk round the grounds and the river. Within a 15 min drive of Auchterarder, Crieff and Gleneagles. Property is well equipped and if you are self catering then it has everything you need for cooking.

A very minor point , a couple of nice beer glasses would have been ideal.
