Phoenix Luxury Loft Cádiz

Location and view.

When internet failed it was difficult to access apartment virtually.

The app based door lock method left us unsure of actually getting into the property until the last minute, having arrived in Cadiz. The door lock worked fine once we had the information but I don't think it offers any advantage over a simple lock box and key method. Sometimes technology for the sake of it does not improve the experience.

We really liked the loft, filled with natural light and with a view over the port. It was very comfortable and perfectly located right in the city and near the station.

I was worried about the electronic keyless entry system, for me it was a bit complicated to set up, and I would have liked a key as a back up plan. But it did work fine as long as you had your data on.

The location just a few minutes walk from the bus / train stations, close to the main sites in the old town. The apartment is larger than we required and the view of the harbour from the 9th floor is interesting to watch. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The a/c an essential relief in the 38° conditions.

The map location was incorrect and identifying the building took a while. It is in the large building with a Phoenix on top above Burger King at the south end of the gardens. Photos attached. The entry system to the building and apartment requires smart phone. Either Internet or Bluetooth. I prefer physical keys! For the price, I expected a few more basic things to be provided. Salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, tissues.

The door locks…..would prefer a key. Reliant on the internet to open the door.

The facilities of the apartment are first class and it's location near to the cathedral and excellent tapas bars makes it a convenient place to be based. Cadiz is compact so everything is within a 20 minutes walk anyhow.

The location was great and secure. The apartment was clean, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the furnishings and comfort that the apartment offered.

My major concern and dislike was the way in which the apartment smelt at the end of the day. It is above the Burger King. By the end of the day (around 4:00 pm onwards) the smell of chip and frying fat was circulating throughout the property. This is despite all the windows being opened. The bathroom where a ventilation system existed, was the worst. I dont expect this for the amount I paid and the luxury offered. There were also many flies that accumulated by the end of the week.

Location, interior design, internet speed view

There was not courtesy coffee pods at my arrival, something you always find in other places. Washer machine pods only 1. I really don’t like the bed setup with that Nordic blanket or what the name is. First time trying that, standard mattress cover, sheet and blanket are always the best for what so called luxury property. Soap dispenser in the shower drop almost no soap, very very little. Toilet and bidet are too close and toilet is small, too short. That a not a wise choice from the owner.
