Lisbon Chillout Apartments

Good location, and well-equipped apartment (kitchen, laundry machine, clothes drying rack). Easy to walk to the central area where there are many shops and good restaurants. Booked this place last minute for a fair price, I think it's okay for a quick stay (1-2 nights) if there are no other options. Note: VERY steep staircase, no elevator of course. Be cautious if travelling with anyone that may struggle with this.

The air flow in the apartment was stale. The windows were a bit small and could not let in a lot of sunlight/air. Slight damp/musky feeling that could be detrimental if you stay too long...

Comfy beds, amazing location for walking to everything, great street with bars and restaurants but pretty quiet still. Private, good communication with hosts. Nice touch to leave us wine biscuits and coffee!

No hanging places for dresses, costs etc or towels. Easily fixable with a few hooks in the bathroom and a coat stand in the bedroom.

We booked this studio expecting a cozy spot in the heart of the old town, but unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations. While the area itself is lovely and historic, the apartment is essentially a renovated basement or utility room. First, there is no proper window to let in daylight, making the apartment feel dark and claustrophobic. The only small celling window is in the bathroom, which allows for a bit of light, but the main living area has none. It's very damp inside, and the air smells musty, almost like an old cellar. The living area and shower had clear signs of water damage and mold. Despite the appealing design, the cleanliness was subpar—dust was visible in the corners, on the bedside lamp, and the bedsheets didn’t smell fresh (likely due to the dampness). It made me question if the sheets were even changed. The bathroom door handle was broken, so we couldn’t close it properly. The thin metal door separating us from the busy street was a joke in terms of security and soundproofing—we could hear everything outside, and were woken up by someone hitting the door from the street in the middle of the night. We didn’t feel safe at all. After just two nights, all our clothes smelled damp, and we had to visit a laundromat at our next hotel to get rid of it. The entire stay was uncomfortable, and I’m genuinely concerned about whether it’s safe to stay here health-wise. Lastly, I found it odd that we were asked to leave the tourist tax in cash, instead of it being included in the payment, which felt unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It was a deeply disappointing experiences

Great location and good size for 1 or 2 people. A couple of supermarkets within easy walk, loads of small restaurants around, great vibe at night but not loud as bedroom at the back of apartment. Loved being in old part of town. Bottle of wine and biscuits was a lovely welcome.

I had issues with the blinds and let the hosts know and they are looking at that. Staircase is very steep and narrow, something to be aware of.
