Apartment in Trigueiros With a Great View

The apartment is not not fit for renting. The problems: 1. internet didn’t work, they tried to figure the problem and were blaming the local issue. However, the other apartments had internet fine. And we needed an internet for work. 2. Washing machine didn’t work, they tried to mend it and one program worked twice and then nothing 3. Bed slats were moving away and mattress fallen down 4 nights in the row leaving us with sleepless nights They mended it on day 5 of our stay. 4. Lock on the door works but with difficulty 5. Shelf by the bed was detached 6. Toilet tank was leaking, they tried to help but no improvement 7. sofa bed in leaving room was uneven and extremely hard and uncomfortable for seating 8. Beds in the other bedroom were squeaky 9. Lots of patched up walls and ceiling in the bathroom and the kitchen 10. The door on one bedroom cannot be closed 11. Rusty washing clothes lines so you can’t hang clothes without destroying the clothes. I tried to resolve this with apartment but they stopped communicating Run away from this apartment as fast as you can

Location is great.

The lock to the apartment is half broken. Someone clearly tried to break in before we checked in. I noticed the owner and they said they’d fix it however nothing was done during our stay. We didn’t feel safe and had to take all our valuables with us during the day. I attached a photo if you want to see the door yourself. The beds are very uncomfortable and you can hear anyone in the apartment turning around the bed. One of the bed was broken. They’re old ikea beds that are used and abused. Kitchen has all the basic things. But pans are all scratched and the coffee machine is leaking. We were given three low quality toilet papers for a week of stay. Had to buy new ones after day 4.

The location was excellent, close to a lot of points of interest and restaurants in the old city, which serve till late in the night. The kitchen is well equiped, the bathroom spacious.

The only problem is for people with bad knees or dyspnea problems the access via a narrow steep stairway to the 3rd floor.

The apartment is easily reachable by foot, clean, spacious for Lisboa standards, also the stairs are manageable even with a suitcase. Charming view from the living room. Very nice bistro downstairs to quench your thirst or hunger. The apartment is fully equipped for a short stay (incl. iron, possibility to use the washing machine). We were 4 adults and we fit quite nicely there. Would book again.

The apartment could be fine-tuned - a coffee table in the living room (there was none so we could not e.g. sit together with a drink without fearing of knocking over the cup on the ground), more thorough maintenance (things that cannot be found during regular cleaning during the day e.g. doors not closing fully, washing machine doors difficult to lock) - we reported those to the staff, so it is hopefully already fixed. Towels smelled of mildew after 1st use and the beds in the twin room creaked horribly. Would book again but bring my own towels.
