Loved the location of this apartment in a quirky original rustic Portuguese building in the Santos area, A good little supermarket down the steps across from the apartment. There were plenty of bars and restaurants around and lots more a short walk along the road to the Time out market area, Cais do sodre, Baixa and Chiado. With Alfama a bit further out. All walkable. The little balcony was an added bonus, sun shined in every morning, you can see the church bell and the Tagus River from it. Easy key pick up from the key safe box to the left of the front door on the wall, the code was sent by wassap to me hours before arrival. Plenty of pots pans plates glasses knives in the kitchen and dishwasher and washing machine and also a microwave there is a hairdryer in the bathroom. There is a cute little double door from the main double bedroom into the bathroom area which can be kept closed if you prefer. The bathroom layout is cute with a door off the kitchen and one off the bedroom, the bathroom is a long area with shower at one end and toilet with door at the other end and sink with mirror in the middle. The shower was roasting hot every day and easy to use. There was nothing negative about this apartment for us a family of 4 of 2 adults and 2 older children. I'm glad I never paid any attention to some stupid negative reviews. The beds were super comfy in both rooms, and AC heated up in no time but we never really needed it as the apartment was cosy in the morning from the sun coming in. The twin bedroom being double doors from the living room again absolutely no issue with this. We will definitely be back. There is a little cocktail bar at the top of the road on the left called "Matiz Pombalina" definitely worth a wee visit on the way back to the apartment at night. Lovely man that runs it. The hosts were easy to contact and were responsive although I never had to raise any issues with them as never had any..

Nothing was all perfect. People moan about the hall not having a light, you can put light on from your apartment in the hall but couldn't find one when coming in the main door, we didn't care, it added to the quirkiness of this building we used our phone torches no big drama or issue.

I really liked a lot of things about this apartment. It’s bright, spacious, and the beds are very comfortable – every evening I fell asleep in literally a second. In the morning, I woke up to a beautiful sunrise view from the living room window, which gave the place a really special atmosphere. The location is also great. The apartment is just a few steps away from the fantastic breakfast spot Heim and some very nice wine bars. It’s a bit further from the main promenade and all the city hustle, but still within about a 20-minute walking distance. Plus, Uber in Lisbon is so cheap that getting anywhere costs next to nothing – you just have to be prepared for some traffic. There’s also an excellent pizzeria right next door, so if you arrive in the evening, there’s a perfect place to grab something to eat. The apartment is really great for this price – in my opinion, there’s no need to overpay for more expensive places. There were four of us staying there and we were all very comfortable. The apartment is great, the area is great – I definitely recommend it.

As for the things we didn’t like so much: the master bedroom has windows facing the bathroom, which could be a big issue for many guests. It didn’t really bother us, but it’s definitely something to be aware of. The shower cabin is also quite impractical – the door gets stuck, so it’s hard for one person to get out comfortably. On top of that, the water heater seems a bit unstable, which makes it difficult to enjoy the rainfall shower at a consistent temperature. Additionally, the TV could really be bigger. The current one is very small – maybe just over twenty inches, perhaps thirty-two at most – and it’s not very comfortable to watch. Honestly, it would almost be better to have no TV at all than such a tiny one, because it slightly spoils the otherwise great impression of the apartment. In the kitchen, it would also be nice to have some basics provided, like salt, pepper, coffee, tea – simple things people don’t usually pack when they’re flying across Europe for an extended weekend. And you don’t want to buy full packs of everything every single time. These are small details, but they really affect the overall comfort of the stay.
