Beautiful Studio in Historic Alfama with AC

It was very clean and good location, comfortable, lots of room. We were allowed to leave our suitcases for a few hours after checkout which was very nice of them.

The air conditioner kept shutting off and we couldn't sleep or nap. It took the property owners 2 days to fix it

The apartment was lovely and well equipped

Very very noisy at night and with people coming and going as the door to the building is right by the door to the apartment, so everyone coming in and out can be heard as if they're standing next to you. I believe the tourist tax should be included within the price of the accomodation, even if this increases the price as it comes across as a hidden cost. Apartment wasn't ready for us when we arrived. We found communication with the owners a bit brusque. They asked us to leave early if possible without offering anywhere for us to leave luggage (offering a paid service). They charge more if you arrive early but still ask you to leave early for them to prepare the apartment so it's ready for the next guests...we understand if busy, but if the cleaning can't be done between 11:00 and 16:00 maybe another cleaner is necessary rather than having apartment not ready and asking people to leave early.

There was an issue with the bed and they were so quick to come in and literally deconstruct and build a new bed in 30 mins! The view and environment is right in the heart of the Alfama, all the fado restaurants nearby are great and it's also super close to the Fado Museum. Also we were there during the Santa Casa fado festival and a performance was right by our window!

There is a decorative shelf in the middle of the main room and while it does add style to the space, it more often than not just gets in the way.

One of the most beautiful and atmospheric areas in Lisbon. I loved being in the heart of Alfama – open the window and you can hear the fado echoing through the old streets. The room is beautiful and well-equipped, though not very large.
