Pod Koblo Bohinj Apartments

Velmi pěkný, skvělý apartmán. Nachází se v klidném místě. Parkování je hned vedle apartmánu. Majitelé jsou milí a sympatičtí, vždy vám ochotně poskytnou potřebné informace. Určitě doporučujeme.

Kedves, segítőkész vendéglátók fogadtak. Telefonon tudtuk egyeztetni az érkezési időt még úgy is, hogy időközben változtattunk rajta. Az apartman tiszta, jól felszerelt, csendes, pihenésre abszolút megfelelő volt. Nagyon szép kilátás volt a környék hegycsúcsaira.

We enjoyed our stay at Pod Koblo. The apartment is very clean. Location in the town is generally good. Great location for touring the area around Lake Bohinj. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch or evening meals on our balcony overlooking the mountains. The owners and children live on the lower floors. On the middle floor there are 2 apartments. 1 has a private balcony the other one is shared with other guests possibly walking past. The walk into town takes about 10 - 15 minutes. You can walk or cycle from the door. You can easily find or link to paths that take you to Lake Bohinj in one direction or Lake Bled in the other. There is a good bus service from Bohinj to Bled or evenLjubljana. You are not far from the station (the railway line enter the famous tunnel just below and to the side of the house. Not many trains a day so no big problems with train noise. Another fun thing is to take your car on the car train to the Soca Valley. We purchased a Julian Alps card which gave free parking, free entry to attractions and discounts on lots of things. We found it good value but you need to do your own sums. Parking in the area can cost 3 Euros an hour. It does not take long to cover the cost.You buy the card at the tourist office. Tina the owner is very helpful and easy to contact. If you need anything just ask. Anything you need in the kitchen etc just ask. Nothing is a problem.

We did enjoy our stay and would not hesitate staying here. Below are points you should be aware of and they will help you decide if Pod Koblo is right for you or not. The owners children wake up around 5 - 6 am. They start running around, making noise and slamming doors. It sounds like they are running on stairs directly below your bedroom. The apartment is on a road out of the town. Not a major busy road but a lot of big lorries, tractors and motorbikes do use it. More so in the morning. It seemed less busy n the evenings. Some road (and odd train) noise in the bedroom. The bed makes a creaking sound every time you move or turn over. If you have a noisy family or young children in the apartment next to you you will hear them. A good set of ear plugs helps with all of the above. Bohinj is ok but a bit small for us. We wanted more of a town centre. There is only a few scattered shops, restaurants and hotels. Even by the lake the villages are no bigger. Think small village not towns. Nothing much to walk to in the evenings except countryside and you might have been walking all in countryside already. We did go up the Vogel Mountain but felt the walking paths and signposts not very good compared with Austrian resorts. I repeat we enjoyed our stay. See our score. We just wanted others to be aware of the above points.

Pod Koblo is a great place to stay close to Bohinj lake. I need to say that our appartment looked so neat, that we could not believe it. The kitchen is rather small (in case you cook), but provides everything you need for your cooking experience. From our bedroom we could see mountains and also a nice garden, owned by Tina. There was even a piggy in the corner of the garden! I was very happy to see that there was no problem with accomodating our doggo and we felt very welcomed. Our beds were super comfortable as well as bathroom. I can not say enough how Tina was helpful and welcoming and caring. She also provided us with some advice on hikes and our communication was very smooth. Tina - thank you!! In case you wish to see Bohinj lake, you might need to go by car, but it is not really far away from Bistrica - you can walk too. In addition, I must say that Bistrica has an amazing river valley and we had a great time by going to see the river and mountains also directly from Bistrica center. In case you wish to dine in Bistrica, there is several options you will like and the town as such is very nice and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. No need to stress about the location, and I would say that to stay in Bistrica might be even a better option than to stay in Bohinj directly - as it might get crowdy during tourist season.

There was nothing to complain about and I highly recommend this place to stay while visiting Bohinj area!

Extremely nice hosts and an apartment on wonderful location. Clean and spacious.

Great base for hiking the area away from the hustle and bustle of Lake Bohinj. Tina, our host, was lovely and gave us some good recommendations.

Note no air con but the nights are cool even in August so didn't really affect us. Also on a busy road so some traffic noise. Windows are good for cutting a lot of it out.

Everything was perfect - the accomodation was very nice and clean, the owner was very nice and interested in us. A great starting position for trips around the Julian Alps.

A little weaker WIFI, but that's just a minor thing.

Everything was excellent and even more than expected, there’s even tables outside for lunch. Owners super nice and welcoming, helped with the luggage.

Nothing in particular, you get what you see in the photos, outstanding views, clean apartment and everything functional in the kitchen. Maybe train track is close to the building that you can hear but it’s not that frequent to disturb you
