Apartments in Historical Lisbon

The property had two bedrooms and small living/ kitchen area. It was well stocked with supplies . It is in old historic section close to everything. It was a great location we could walk everywhere. Close to many restaurants and little grocery stores. The communication with the owner and Patricia the manager was wonderful . Patricia was always available and helpful. The only drawback for us at age 80 is that we were on 3 floor and had to climb very steep stairs. The web site did warn of steep stairs our fault for not noticing it. Also apt in hilly area. So this apt not suitable for anyone with physical limitations . Other than that I would recommend this place

Very central and convenience, but the neighborhood is very noisy and dirty as it’s facing the two restaurants.

Need to replace towels, blow dryer, iron. So worn out. No kettle for boil water. Stairs to the room are narrow and steep, very challenging for walking up and down even without the suitcase

Punti a favore 2 : La posizione. In pieno centro. A 5-10 minuti da tutto e tutto a portata di mano ( bar, supermercati, ristoranti, metro, bus,ecc) Il fatto che il nostro appartamento fosse a piano terra. Dopo aver fatto sali e scendi tutto il giorno, scale, macinato chilometri, tornare e non dover fare più scale direi che é a dir poco bellissimo All'arrivo sul tavolo c'è un presente per gli ospiti. Vino, sardine, pate di sardine. Direi grazioso.

Tutto. Appartamento a piano terra piccolo ,buio e un po angusto. Senza condizionatore. Ci sono 2 ventole che danno solo fastidio. Letto scomodissimo. E poi per chi dorme da lato muro non c'è nemmeno lo spazio per passare. Ovviamente non c'è bidet, ma questo ormai si sa. Manca il porta Spazzolino nel bagno. Non c'era un kit per ospiti ( ciabattine, Spazzolino,ecc). Manca la lavatrice. Non ci sono finestre. L'unica finestra è quella della porta di ingresso. Che ovviamente deve essere chiusa quando si va via e quando si è a.dormire, perché ovviamente non si sa mai. La TV piccolissima nel " soggiorno" e no in camera da letto. Pulizia.... ni. Abbiamo trovato degli asciugamani un po così. Nel complesso lo consiglio solo per la posizione. Per il resto no. Poi per quello che " offre " il costo è decisamente alto, ovviamente dovuto alla posizione che, ripeto, è l'unica cosa positiva.

My wife and I spent six nights at the Apartments in Historical Lisbon (AHL) and just loved the place and the hospitality. Shortly after making our reservation, we were contacted by one of the owner-managers. They shared detailed and useful information with us about the best way to get from Lisbon Airport to our destination. Although this was our first visit to Lisbon and we arrived at midnight, everything went very smoothly. Someone was there to greet us and give us an introduction to the apartment. Our apartment was on the 4th floor, and although the stairs were quite steep, the place was charming and cozy, with enough room for two or even three guests, a couple of sofas to sit by the windows, a wooden dinner table, and all the necessary utensils to cook and clean as desired, including an espresso machine and olive oil. Even if slightly tilted, the view of the historical buildings and the river was beautiful. The apartment's location is also very convenient. It is just a few minutes from Rossio Square and Praça de Figueira, at the heart of Historical Lisbon, and with easy access to buses and metro lines. The neighborhood is diverse and retains a distinctive traditional flavor, featuring cafés and a surprising variety of interesting restaurants, different from those in the nearby squares, which are also nice but more tourist-oriented. We are grateful to Patricia and Gonçalo for their kindness and hospitality. We are looking forward to coming back.

We've been considering what to recommend to improve the experience, but nothing specific comes to mind. We did not encounter any major inconveniences.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet appartement et je déconseille fortement ce logement. Tout d’abord, l’annonce est totalement trompeuse. Les photos laissaient croire à un appartement lumineux et agréable, alors qu’en réalité, il est sombre, étouffant et quasiment sans lumière naturelle. La seule ouverture était une petite vitre sur la porte d’entrée, donnant sur une ruelle mal fréquentée. La chambre et la salle de bain, elles, étaient plongées dans le noir complet. La nuit, par souci de sécurité, nous étions obligés de fermer cette vitre, ce qui rendait l’air encore plus irrespirable. Ma femme, qui est claustrophobe, n’a pratiquement pas dormi du séjour. Ensuite, l’expérience a été encore aggravée par la disparition de deux chemises de valeur oubliées dans l’appartement. Le propriétaire nous a indiqué que la femme de ménage les aurait « données à des associations », ce qui est pour le moins douteux. Quoi qu’il en soit, il est inadmissible que des effets personnels de ce prix puissent disparaître sans aucune possibilité de récupération. Entre les photos mensongères, le manque total de confort et de lumière, et la disparition de nos biens personnels, ce séjour a été une véritable déception. Je considère que ce logement est indigne d’être proposé sur une plateforme comme Booking, qui devrait garantir un minimum de fiabilité et de respect des clients. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet appartement.

Everything about this booking was perfect! It was super easy to communicate with the host, to have the keys and the apartment is just as nice as you see on the pictures. The neighbourhood is just a gem! You really have the feeling of community and it’s very very central. I super recommend!! ( also the senegalese food just in front :)

Wir sind sehr herzlich empfangen worden! Nicht nur, dass Wein, Cracker und Fischpastete bereit standen, die Mitarbeiterin Patricia hat uns trotz später Stunde hilfreiche Tipps für die ersten Tage gegeben und alle Fragen beantwortet. Das Apartment war super ausgestattet - inkl. typischer Wäscheleine vor dem Fenster. 😀 Die Lage zwischen Rossio, Praca der Figueira und Martim Moniz ist perfekt für alle Unternehmungen.Die Gegend ist multikulti und interessant, aber auch nicht immer blitzblank. Dafür gibt's ums Eck sowohl ein tolles original portugiesisches als auch ein richtiges Gourmetrestaurant und eine nette Pastelaria. Es ist nichts für Bequeme, schon angefangen von der supersteilen Treppe im Haus über die vielen Leute in der Straße, die gegenüberliegenden Fenster und die Kochdüfte des senegalesischen Restaurants gegenüber. Aber das Haus und die Appartements sind sauber, zentral und schön.

Es hat uns nichts nicht gefallen, man muss halt wissen, dass das Gebiet hügelig ist und man im Haus noch Stufen gehen muss. Nicht umsonst ist der Elevador der Lavra in der Nähe. Und es ist eine belebte Gegend, was wir aber gut fanden.
