The authentic building just outside the centre and 100 metres or so from the main square. Very close to food outlets, bars and restaurants. We were met by Mari who was extremely helpful and friendly, let us check in early and check out to time with public transportation. She was excellent at communicating. The wifi was good. Clean, good towels, glasses and gas stovetop. Water supplied in fridge. The views from the terrace are excellent. Ostuni was an interesting place to visit with many good restaurants and things to do for two days. It’s easy to catch a shuttle bus from the train station to the town and then less than a five minute walk to the apartment.

Obviously it’s clear that there are a lot of stairs from other reviews and descriptions. The whole city is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. The main issue for us was the noise from the street, we stayed Friday to Monday, Friday night many locals hung out outside, sitting on the steps of the houses, eating pizza and shouting and talking until 4am, the same on Saturday night. Sunday was quiet. The windows are not double glazed so this kept us awake. There were empty boxes just left all over the pavement (we have a photo). Whilst the owner can do nothing about this, it did spoil our stay. The mattress needs a topper or replacing as springs were sticking through in places. We left quite tired and exhausted.

We loved this very Italian home. While it does have many stairs, the bed and pillows are comfortable and it has excellent air con. It also has an adorable kitchen and a washing machine. The bonus was the rooftop view of the Adriatic Sea. Plus, you can enjoy the LIVE concerts from the rooftop. We found the location to be right near the central piazza and easy to access. If you have mobility or balance issues, this might not be the best place because the stairs are tricky. But what a wonderful stay in a sparkling clean home!

The outdoor area needs a bit of a clean up and new table, chairs etc The steps could be an issue if you are older or had any disabilities however ok for us.

Stairs can be a little tricky

The location is perfect for exploring Ostuni. You’re a two minute walk from the main square but just far enough off the main streets that it’s quiet at night. The rooftop deck has an amazing view during the day and night. The bright color walls and cozy decor make it homey. Mari was very welcoming and accommodating. We loved our stay!

The stairs are not for the faint hearted! It’s quite the climb, with some narrow and steep steps.

Mari, the host, is exceptional kind and helpful. We had a problem getting to Matera with a pickup, and she was with us for almost 1 hr under the sun to make sure we get our pickup! It was just too kind of her.

Not much sun coming in the flat. Except that, all very good:)
