The place the penthouse it was wonderful staying there

Overall it was a great place

-The location was amazing. Many restaurants and shops are nearby, as is the Panjim Market. Most of the city was within 5 to 10 minutes Tuk-tuk (Auto) ride. -The mall's location next door is also amazing. There is a Tuk-Tuk (auto) stand right in front of the Mall. - There are several banks nearby as well (About 5-minute walk) Bad things Apartment- the actual unit is an apartment on the 3rd floor, and one room on the 4th floor has access to a balcony even though this is called a "2 and 3-bedroom apartment penthouse". 15th January (Check-In Day) My flight was landing in Goa at 7.30 AM. I knew check-in was at 2.00 PM so I asked Mr. Rakesh (the owner) what to do about it on the first week of January itself. He assured me that, "There is a security room on the ground floor. You can keep all the luggage in the ground floor security room, lock the room take the key with me, and explore Panjim until 2.00 PM" This sounded very reasonable. However, when we got to the "apartment" at around 9.00 AM, he was not present at the apartment. We called him and he said to take the bags to the 4th floor. The elevator was only till the 3rd floor, and we had to carry 7 Check In bags and 4 Cabin luggage to the 4th floor. The "Security room" had somehow become a "Washing Machine room". He told us to keep the bags in the washing machine room, which had 2 washing machines, a sink, and a toilet, and we could not lock the room because the cleaner had to use the room to wash the clothes. So, we were stuck in the scorching sun of Goa on the balcony unable to go anywhere until check-in 16th January Around 8.30 AM I called Mr. Rakesh asking how to use the gas stove, and without telling me how to turn on the gas stove, he started scolding me how I was inconsiderate to call someone and bother them. He was scolding me for about 15 minutes. I was shocked because this was the same person who said, "You are in my property, now you are my...

- to you" Toward the end of the call, he gave us the number of the caretaker of the apartment and told us to not contact him but that person. However, the caretaker did not know a word of English. Because of the language barrier. other troubles (I would love to go into detail but booking.com does not allow for long reviews) - The owner is someone who does not like to take accountability and very arrogant. He tried to make it seem like most things seem wrong cause of me and not because of him or his property. -I was staying on the 4th floor, and I had no Wi-Fi access throughout my room. When I asked him to help me get Wi-Fi, he was essentially mocking me saying that I do not know how to connect to the Wi-Fi. When I showed him that the password was not working, he said he would get it done for me but it never happened. But there was Wi-Fi in the 3rd-floor apartment. -I faced trouble at immigration because he had not registered my name as a guest. (I was told this by Immigration officers) so I was there for 30 minutes. I left the immigration office 20 minutes before my flight left. -Cleanliness is effectively zero. the same sheets and blankets used by the previous guest were given to us and not changed once in the 10 days. All the cleaning lady did was come, sweep wipe and go. The kitchen utensils are also very bad. I will attach pictures. The walls and sofas in the units were badly stained. He did not allow us to remove the sofa cover saying, "If we damage or spill, we have to bear the cost". Check-Out day. Our flight was at 6.00 PM. Since check-out was at noon, even before coming we had agreed that we would leave the apartment around 3.00 PM. But a day before checking out, he essentially kicked us out of the apartment around 11.30 AM, because a guest from Airbnb was arriving and wanted to check in at 1.00 PM. The funny part is this property is not on Airbnb.

Prompt and responsive host. Great location. Clean and spacious rooms. Penthouse for added space and family gathering. All over, excellent experience

Upkeep of the property could have been better.

Host was very helpful in linking us with transport and also getting around places. He also was attentive to questions asked eg turning on aircon, wifi and operating washing machine and getting to church. Convenient to get around to places as it is central and shops nearby. Kitchen cooking items were helpful.

There can be improved coordination in cleaning the home regularly. Washing can be upgraded as it is a manual one and is not enough for large families. There were only 4 towels given even though there were 6 of us. Air con in one of the room didnt work throughout stay. Though there was a lift, there was a flight of stairs to room, which may be difficult for elderly.

There’s a mall right nearby with food joints easily accessible. It’s located in the center of Panjim so there’s a lot of things to do nearby

There was a bit of leakage from the roof int he living room. And the TV bill wasn’t paid so it wasn’t working.
