The owner was super nice and recommended us some really nice local beaches and other places. Due to him we went to a small beach with a very cool bar (pajol bar). This was a lot less busy than all the other beaches and the prices were great. It took us like 25 minutes with the bus to get there. The room was small but it had everything we needed! It was clean and had a great working aircon. It takes about a 20 minute downward walk to get to the centre, so that's not bad at all. The only thing is; you have to get back at some point haha... we took a taxi everytime we went back to the apartment as the hills are pretty steep (it was 36 degrees). But this wasn't a problem for us. Every taxi ride cost us about 9 euro (Bolt or Uber), so pretty cheap.

Accomodation close to the city center, with soft and comfortable bed. There was a fridge, freezer, washing machine and TV. TV has 100+ channels in German, plus a few in other main languages. The owner was very nice, answered all of our questions.

Only a few English channels, which were playing the same episodes of shows. It was not an issue for us, we did not visit Rijeka to watch TV, but it could be a problem for someone.

"Sympathic stay linked to a visit to the University of Rijeka."

A self-contained flat consisting of a bedroom with kitchen facilities and a large bathroom. Normal washing machine in the bathroom, large fridge, gas cooker, electric kettle and set of kitchen utensils in the room. Bed comfortable, although a little too soft for me. There was initially no comfortable place to work on the computer, but the host quickly solved this by bringing a table and an armchair. Location close to the Technical Faculty of the University of Rijeka (which I wanted). Nearest grocery shop 100 m away, market a bit further. Good access by public transport - 5 min from bus stop, and walking the other way in 8 min you reach the key stop from which you can go, for example, in the direction of Opatija. Very good contact with a host.

Facilities are great. We stayed only for the night but location was great, good bed and sofa, also has a big toilet. The host was also very kind and helpful.

Parking was a bit tricky, but overall good
