DOCEVIDA Appartement # Ocean View

For anyone looking for an authentic experience in the Algarve, this apartment is perfect! The view is absolutely amazing, and Salema offers such a beautiful, quiet beach that simply can not be matched in Lagos or Faro. The apartment was very clean, with a cute, beachy decor. The kitchen is well equipped with everything one could need for their stay. The beach is just short way down a staircase, and there are several great restaurants in the area, not to mention some nice hiking trails and even dinosaur footprints on the beach! Marie was a superb host, and she even gave many tips on what to check out in Salema and the surrounding area, all of which were spot on👌. What really set this accomadation apart from the others was the authentic feel one gets from staying here...you really feel what it is like to live like a local, from the winding narrow streets in Salema, to the traditional Restaurants (La Boia!), instead of just getting a touristy, superficial experience. Would definitely recommend!

We are so glad we stayed at the Docevida Apartment. There is easy access to restaurants and the wonderful beach. It was so quiet and relaxing while we were there. I loved the decor of the apartment - great colors and a chill, beachy vibe. Every restaurant we tried had excellent food - Boia, O Lourenço, and Casa Pizza. The Salema Beach Club Market has a pretty good selection of basic groceries. Salema is also a great home base for visiting other parts of the Algarve. If given the opportinity to return, we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little apartment with a beautiful view of the Beach and surrounding cliffs and hills. Waking up to the sun streaming in the windows was the ideal prelude to breakfast on the balcony. Fresh bread from the little supermarket, fish from the van that comes around every morning sounding it's horn. It's all here. There are a number of high quality restaurants and a new and really tasty curry house in Salema. The Atabua cocktail bar is a must visit with some properly made classics. The beach is sheltered and has a lovely little roller if you fancy a short and subtle surf session. There are a couple of little bars very near by if you want a more local scene, with a lovely little place by the roadside in Figueira, the O Aquario. Also perched on the hillside in Budens is a charming little, very local bar, the Vista Alegre with a delightful window right behind it.

There were a few noisy barking dogs in town.

Awesome view, short walk down the hill to town and beach. Super clean, everything you need in way of dishes, fully equipped kitchen and cooking. Great terrace to lounge on… Cheerful decor with Azur blue accents.. Stable Wifi, and best Sunrise going!!

Perhaps a long Bamboo roll shade on the the patio to shade from direct sun.

Excellent location with great view.
