The Attic Suite Selsey

We were happy that despite it being advertised without breakfast, the hosts were good enough to leave cereal and milk, which is all we wanted. The location was brilliant, literally 2 minutes walk to the beach.

The black mould in the shower should be treated with Cillet Bang black mould cleaner We'd have liked a washing up sponge to do our washing up. We had to leave the cups soaking in the sink but managed the other things

No contact from the owners during visit Was a loft conversion and ceilings were low and always having to walk around bent double Also properties heating system was next to the room and was constantly turning on and off making loud noises during the night so unable to sleep !! Also the sink in the room has drainage issues and was prone to gurgle at random times Total lack of hanging space Stairs unsafe and issue with the handles- one had to be reinstated Poor lighting in toilet and only one bedside light towels not of an adequate size In my opinion overpriced and possibly not covered by fire regulations

Location, facilities and cleanliness

The apex of the roof and steep stairs down to the toilet Charming for a younger demographic perhaps and quite charming

Nice shower, good size TV, nice towels, new stairs carpet, comfortable mattress, handy car parking, helpful friendly host when we did eventually meet him by chance. Nice velux windows with good black-out.

No welcome, no information to explain basics, not really suitable for two, ceilings too sloped and oppressive, sink difficult to use because of slope, foldable table ok for one. No hob or oven, just microwave and tiny noisy fridge.

Although self-catering we was left with breakfast cereal, milk, tea, coffee and suger Place was spotless, comfy bed Excellent local bus service Plenty of food venues locally within walking distance

Absolutely nice and cosy suite with very friendly hosts. I booked with very less prewarning and could check-in about 10min later! 3min to the beach. I can highly recommend it and hope to be back one time...

Clean, neat, tidy and quiet place in a pleasant suburb of Selsey with friendly hosts. Downstairs private modern shower-toilet and easy free parking. Free to come and go as one pleases. Large screen TV with lots of channels too.

We knew we were renting a 'converted garage' attic space, so it seems a bit unfair to mention the 'cosy' man-pad design that restricted one's movement except when standing under the centre of the roof. Two separate bedcovers might have avoided the blanket tug-of-war with my son too. Also, a bit pricey for such a small space (IMO) - but it seems to be the going rate for that area. Needing to leave "by 10 o'clock am" so the cleaner could come in meant we couldn't indulge in a holiday lie-in. But as a one-or-two night stopover, it was clean and tidy and easily accessible.
