The Point - Sintra 2

La ubicación es perfecta, ya que está en pleno centro y puedes ir andando a todas partes. La propietaria fue muy amable y atenta.

Mal olor que provenía del baño (casi no se podía estar dentro) e impregnaba el olor por toda la casa. Además, el baño es muy muy pequeño (demasiado)... Tiene escaleras que son bastante estrechas y empinadas.

Very spacious, great location. Had a great old world charm

Bed was uncomfortable ( Mattress had a sag), coffee machine needed pods and we could not buy any ( should have been either a French press or ground coffee maker which would help) and no wine glasses. You could easily hear all foot traffic in the stairs in in all the units. Nobody was disrespectful with noise however.

- The location is excellent, very central, close to great restaurants - The flat is spacious, with a nice view on the Sintra nature

- The property charges extra in cash for arrival outside of 3h time slot for check in (between 4 and 7PM). I learnt about it after making the reservation. Arrived ay 7.40pm due to the delayed plane and had to pay extra for the "late check in". - Jackhammers and drills start at 8am, it is impossible to open the window as it is terribly noisy. Forget the idyll of Sintra, you'll feel like you're on a construction site. The building opposite is a complete ruin, being renovated from the ground up. Work is expected to last until the end of 2024. - There is a rather strong musty smell in the flat. In the small bathroom the stench from the drains is suffocating. - You can hear every step and movement in the building, the downstairs neighbours bang on the ceiling when you talk on the phone without raising your voice.

Located in the heart of Sintra. Owners were warm and welcoming.

We casually met the owner and his family when we got to the place. They were lovely and let us in to leave our luggage, as we came before the checking in time. The owner gave me the key and we agreed to come back later to meet the person who was supposed to check us in. However, when we got there later, the lady who was in charge (nothing to do with the lovely family) showed some attitude, almost blaming us for being there earlier without telling her (I had sent her a message that she never replied). We weren't upset or anything, as we knew that we arrived before the check-in time but I don't think her manners were appropriate. Beyond that, I do not understand why check in time starts at 4pm when the room was actually ready when we got there at 1pm. It makes it obvious that they want you to use the place for as short as possible. The person in the flat above us would bang the floor at night. Bed sheets should be changed for new and fresh ones. Bathroom was extremely tiny.

The apartment was very cosy and in a very good location near the Sintra center. Anna was super nice and helpful which made our stay in Sintra that much better.

Everything was according to our expectations.

The little apartment was super cozy, had a little kitchen a calming view of trees and was moments from the National Palace. There are also very nice walking in the area, notably the trail up to Palacio da Pina.
