Modern secure apartment in Strand - Little Greece

There is no privacy. You have to keep the blinds drawn as people can see if from everywhere. It was so hot and it the windows were open and the blinds down they blinds kept hitting the window and making a noise. I did not expect it to be above shops. I did not feel comfortable in the area as it had more of an industrial feel. The photos made it look like it was closer to the beach.

found a few cochroaches walking in the clothes cupboard. the kitchen sink drain had a terrible smell. The Tv were not even used because , no DSTV/Netflix.

The rooms were extremely hot and humid. The coach was very uncomfortable and it only had a small fan There were hidden costs like 300 for cleaning and When we got there we had pay a deposit as well.

The booking was supposed to be cheap, as we were using it as a quick stopover point. Instead of R680, it amounted to an extra R375 in charges, which was for cleaning and electricity.. This was obviously my fault, as I've never been charged any additional charges on many other bookings, and simply never expected this. There were many other better options to choose from at this higher rate. The apartment was fine, but outside lights from corridors are on throughout the night, and leak into the rooms, making it impossible to darken the rooms fully. I think the location is either next to a main road, or some other transit route, as big trucks or trains can constantly be heard throughout the night. No soap or showering items provided. A deposit of R1000 was required up front, which was waived as we were leaving at 7am the next morning, which would make returning the deposit more difficult. Wifi was almost unusable for anything but basic communication. Attempting to stream became pointless after a few minutes.
