Location was excellent, off street parking was a real bonus. Really clean property everything we needed and Luigi was a lovely host.

Luigi was obliging and came over to help us with check in and check out at a time that suited us. The location was very nice. Close to the action but far away enough to be peaceful.

Apartment was perfect, really comfortable beds, clean, spacious, free parking, walking distance to city and friendly owner who made us so welcome. Would definitely recommend. We had a fabulous weekend.

What’s not to like ??!!

The positives: the flat is perfectly fine – tastefully decorated, well-equipped and clean. It is conveniently located – 10-15 minutes’ walk to the city centre. And there is a parking space if reserved in advance, which is a real bonus in Oxford.

Pls read all bad reviews - believe them - common themes. Luigi presents himself as charming, kind, thoughtful, & accommodating - don't be deceived. Long list of rules leads to VERY unrelaxing stay - anxious to touch anything or walk on the (v. ordinary wooden veneer) floor - cheap nasty slippers provided - can't wear your own footwear. The flat is his daughter's; he says the rules are hers (she is about 9 yrs old!); maybe he thinks this will charm you and make you compliant. This space is too short to tell you the full unpleasant details - wish I could. Luigi will probably have unlimited space for reply. He will tell falsehoods about us. You will have to choose who to believe. Upfront £200 security deposit by bank transfer - no protection this way. Looks for any excuse not to return. Booking.com says ‘refundable at check out’ - not true (he says inspection is later by cleaners). Personal check in/out is not customer service - is a form of control. V. inconvenient to set a departure time in advance; no flexibility to leave early if ready. He has retained the full £200 deposit - at least £147 of that is not justified - it is punishment and a money making opportunity. He will say we broke the rules. WE DID NOT. Dispute is about us asking during our stay to add another guest for the 2nd night (this is within his own rules per brochure in flat). We advance booked in good faith 2 people, 2 nights - the change was unexpected. Guest 3 didn't need towels/linen/pillow. We tried to 'negotiate' the price; big mistake! We were completely open and honest about it. In advance agreed to pay the full £49 (reluctantly - no choice at all). He will say we were rude, put the phone down on him, walked away. Luigi speaks in v. long monologues, does not listen, you cannot get a word in. The only way to move on is to move away. We are honest decent people, lots of experience with hotels and flat rentals - no problems till now.

Very friendly host, great acommodation, quiet location and very close to center and all sights in walking distance
