Unique and quirky central apartment with parking

The property is extremely well located and the parking is a plus. There is some traffic noise so not good for light sleepers. Kitchen is tired but adequate. Sofas and dining area good. Internal bathroom upstairs was tired but ok.

The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable even for one night. I can see from rereading reviews they haven’t been addressed for over a year. Such a shame. Even IKEA mattresses would be better and not overly expensive. A good nights sleep can overcome most other compromises!! There is a very strong smell of damp which is not uncommon in an older property but it was overbearing in the downstairs loo and one of the upstairs bedrooms. Not good for people with respiratory issues.

Great location, excellent kitchen, parking and access all good. Helpful information from the owners, much appreciated. Overall, the property was fine. Definitely good for our needs but there are a few points which I will list below.

Some of the decor was shabby, not up to standard for holiday rental. No pictures (art) to enhance the property. One bed ( the furthest bedroom) had a very uncomfortable mattress, you could feel the springs. Bedding needs replacing. Poor quality and condition duvets, no mattress covers. Bathroom sink not draining well and cracked. One lamp shade in poor condition. Downstairs toilet smells damp and fousty. All these details are needed to elevate this property to a much higher standard. We need to walk into a property like this and say wow!

Location like the exposed brickwork

The oven hobs don’t work at all so made it difficult to self cater. Had to swap lightbulb in downstairs toilet as didn’t work! Could do with glass microwave dishes. The communal hallway could do with decoration. No one got back to me regarding my question of tea/coffee and towels.

Superb location, and well furnished apartment.

The lightbulb in the downstairs loo needs replacing - it was flickering and almost out. Easy to miss, and not a big problem.
