I was looking for an apartment with two bedrooms and it is not easy to find one for a reasonable price. This apartment has a nice living room and a well furnished kitchen, one bedroom with a large bed and one smaller bedroom with a single bed. Kochylos is 8km from Ormos Kortiu and 14km from the Chora, up un a hill with beautiful views. Ioannis and Maria, the hosts, are very friendly and hospitable. They gave us many things that we could use (sweets and jam for breakfast, salt, olive oil, spices, drinks, toiletries) and were always willing to help. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. Parking is available about 100m from the apt.

The apt is up on a hill, so a rental car is essential. We were there at the end of February and the weather was quite chilly and windy (we are hikers and we were expecting that). We were provided with two electric stoves and a/c, plus electric blankets, but in this season the temperature was not really comfortable. The shower, inside a small bathtub, as can be seen in the pictures, has two taps instead of a hot and cold water mixer, which would probably make things easier.

Wow, what a gorgeous stately home, perched on a height with the view of the blue sea! Stunning! The rooms were appointed in an elegant way with amazing antique furniture and items! Ioannis was very responsive and helpful with any questions!
