The host was so kind and helpful! This accomodation was in a great spot, in walking distance to surrounding shops and supermarkets. The whole accomodation was clean and tidy! Awesome place here, would definitely stay here again :)

Nothing - amazing place!

Location, spacious , washing machine , it had everything we needed, very helpful host, we loved everything about Scilla

Location was great. It was very clean and quaint.

Two sets of stairs for a young family would be difficult.

Scilla is a tall town, so it made sense to have tall accommodation. We enjoyed our stay here and particularly loved the upstairs balcony. We also appreciated getting a lift from the train station. After hiking Stromboli, the stairs in Scilla and the house were no problem!

Even though the building is in a densely built-up area, the windows face towards the hills, and it is quiet all the time. Thanks to Andrea's father we arrived at the house from Scilla train station with his car.

No wi-fi inside

When I rang for help, Andrea's parents came and met us at the station - which was just as well, as although it looks a pretty short walk on the map it's up a very steep and busy road with no pavement. They were very welcoming and when we left insisted on driving us all the way to Reggio di Calabria, which was way more than we expected. The house was neat and quirky and immaculately clean, with a lovely view from the top floor. The house is up high above the beach and Chianalea (the old fishing village), in a small village with a couple of bars and one good restaurant and a pizzeria, and great views from the Piazza. There's a general food shop and a greengrocer in the next street.

You need to be fit! The balcony (where we ate all our meals) and small shower room and loo are on the top floor, bedroom on the centre floor, kitchen and another loo on GF. 2 flights of very steep steps (we had to come down backwards to feel safe) connect the floors, which is a challenge when getting up in the night. Most of the sights and restaurants etc are at the foot of the hill, which is a long, steep climb. There's a lift (1 Eu pp) but it stops at 6pm so dinner options are limited.
