Spacious apartment in excellent location

Although newly renovated, the place is poorly equipped: no black-out curtains/shutters so the room is full of light at dawn (and probably too much sunshine in summer); the kitchen has absolutely bare neccessities and only 3 of each (glasses, teaspoons, plates, etc); the bed mattress is too thin and hard (and I normally like hard beds, but this one was really ascetic). It is on top of a 5 storey bulding without a lift; and the apartment is on two levels - so it's not for people who don't like stairs. It is above a very popular student pub so we had to call the police at 3 a.m. (in January!!!) to disperse the drunken, loud crowd under our windows. The apartment could be really nice, but it needs proper soundproofing , window coverage, a good mattress and a welcoming kitchen to fulfill its potential.
