Apartamento encantador em prédio histórico

The building, despite some conservation issues, is gorgeous. The decor of the apartment is nice and the view to the sea with the ships passing by is quite charming. The host was responsive.

When we arrived there was no one to open the door, and it took her 20min to arrive. Once in the apartment we were disappointed with how dirty it was. Feet got black in a matter of minutes, as the apt was very dusty. A cockroach greeted us in the evening. However, the worst was yet to come. Given the apt is on the first floor and the windows are very old and in poor shape, you can here every car and voice from the outside, the whole night. It was impossible to leave. To make matters worst there is no blackout, so the rooms are very bright. Also, the only shower did not work properly, so showers were mostly cold. All in all a very bad experience, that made us leave after only 1 night even paying for 2. It seems absurd to me that someone rents out this apt with such poor sound / light isolation.
