Il Melangolo

The appartment is renewed, clean and very comfortable. Unlike most of the appartments in Tivoli old town, it is very quiet and bright. The host is very caring and gladly help you with everything. Definately one of the best places in the town!

The apartment is very cosy and bright. You can feel like at home there. Location of the place is perfect, near the fruit market and few nice restaurants.

On the painting on the wall there was a thick layer of dust. The freezer and the microwave were dirty.

Francesco was very kind, he helped us with our luggage, he helped us find a parking spot (free- you get a ticket from him). Big room.

Too many stairs for us, was very difficult. Air conditioner only in the living room.

Everything. The location, the cleanness, the friendliness and effort of the host to help and meet your needs. My only regret is not staying in Tivoli longer, because il Melangolo was the fourth “villa” of the city :)

The location of the apartment is great, the place is bright and spacious. The host is a great guy, he was really supportive all the way. For sure I will come back to this place next time I will be in Tivoli.

The sofa in the saloon is calling for utilisation ;)

great location

The apartment was within easy walking distance of Villa d'Este and also restaurants and shops. At first we were worried that the provided parking spot was not right near the apartment, but it wasn't very far, even with luggage. The host met us at the carpark and helped with luggage. The apartment was well decorated (a bit quirky) and interesting.

It was a bit cold inside (February). Glad we had packed slippers and sweaters; but this seems quite typical of Italian apartments (we stayed in 3 in total, and all were cold). Even though the radiators seemed quite hot, the rooms never warmed up much - maybe an insulation problem. As others have written, the apartment is up two flights of narrow steps (one outside and one inside). And, as others have written, the radiator in the bathroom (door from bedroom) is noisy as is some pump that gives water pressure (the pump can be turned off whenever you don't need water pressure).
