Residenza Le Volte Degli Angeli

This was a spacious, very well equipped and nicely decorated apartment. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay from lovely crockery and cooking appliances to paper towels. A big bonus was having a washing machine. It’s a short walk to the main piazza. Free parking is a short distance away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was old and characterful, spacious, quite well-equipped and in a quiet street within easy walking distance of town shops and restaurants.

It was sometimes cold, the kitchen area was too pokey, some essential cooking utensils were missing and the bed(s) were just put-ups. The downstairs room was not a useful space. The swimming pool turned out to be a 10-minute drive away in a rather bleak location with nowhere to get changed.

Very spacious appartment and extremely well located at the top of the old magical city of Spello. Beautiful peek-a-boo view of the valley from the bedroom window. Easy walk to everywhere. Free parking further up the hill. The building used to be a church from the 13th century, which was converted in a flat in the 1700s. The appartment is right on one of the little medieval streets with its hustle and bustle during the day. Very quiet at night. Furnishings are simple, but adequate. Giulio was an amazing host. His restaurant accommodations lead to delicious and affordable food. We could have stayed for months.

What a wonderful, gorgeous place to stay. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive when we arrived late and had trouble finding parking.

The apartment is right on the main street through Spello, so traffic sounds were quite noticeable during the morning commute on the narrow street outside.

The host was so kind and accommodating. The apartment was very comfortable. The location was perfect for us. The parking worked out, too. So worth it!

The photos are totally representative of what to expect. This is a spacious, clean (very important to us!) and atmospheric apartment set in a former monastery, so extra points for how fantastic my singing sounded. 😆 Julian and his mother Luciana were wonderful hosts. My wife and I read a former review that mentioned something about a lack of coffee mugs…? All we can attest to is that now, there are mugs, cups, wine glasses, dishes, pots and pans and other cooking utensils that exceeded our needs. As for the location: excellent. At the top of old town and super close to free parking. And the view from the bedroom window? It’s exactly what one might hope to see from a hilltop town in Umbria.

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious apartment located close to the centre of Spello. Large windows and a beautiful bedroom view of Umbrian countryside made this a lovely place to be in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom met our needs with a good shower, even though it is somewhat dated. The host generously allowed us very early access to the property and was very helpful and responsive.

The kitchen needs a few more utensils such as a vegetable peeler and a set of coffee mugs. Some tea and coffee supplies would be a nice addition. Small things but they enhance the guests experience.
