Comfortable room and close to town. Hosts were very friendly with a very cute chilled out doggo to greet us in the morning.

Couch was a fold out bed but very uncomfortable to sit on as a couch.

Comfy and tastefully styled, modern facilities.

This property is, as explained in the description, not within super-easy walking distance from town. It would be helpful if the owners provided some instructions for the easy/quick route, which my husband identified from driving around. That is, there is a short cut using back streets and stairs in between houses close to town that take you to the edge of the town centre, and reduces the trip by around 10 mins. The walk around the road and along the lake would take 20 mins plus…

"Great comfy weekend away"

The room is great for a couple away, where you can have privacy, but also the hosts are great if you want to join for a weekend beer in the sun and provide great advice on things to do while you stay in Wanaka.
