Abbey View Bagdale in the Centre of Whitby

Spotlessly clean apartment in a great location in the heart of Whitby. The apartment is spacious with everything you need. The views are great. The bed and pillows are comfortable.

Stairs could be a problem for some people to get to the property

Every thing in the accommodation was catered for with thought and love. Comfortable beds lovely and warm. Plenty of bedding etc. Kitchen facilities great.

No fan working in the shower, tried switching then on and off. Tv unable to work the Sat box as tripping all the time. Car park jointly owned by other tenants who think they own the spaces , the last thing you need when you are on holiday. Steps to accommodation jointly owned and comings and goings 7am to 9pm re fitting a kitchen above all week with noisy electric Ian's etc. Although somethings can be out of holiday let control, sharing a complex with property owners as residents, is not ideal, and this should have been stated in the booking terms etc. Private parking, was the sole reason I chose this booking, above others in Whitby, we are Blue badge holders and can't just park on the street and walk a distance.

Abbey View is a lovely, sweet place with beautiful views across to Whitby Abbey. While on-site parking can be limited, we found spaces on Chubb Hill Road and Spring Hill Terrace near the hospital, both just a short walk from the apartment. Inside, the apartment itself is clean, and welcoming, with a true home-from-home feeling. The bedroom is cosy, and the spacious living room is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The Quay is a few minutes' walk away, offering plenty of places to eat and drink. The fish and chips at Magpie Café are a must! For those who enjoy walking, the Cinder Track to Robin Hood’s Bay is a scenic option. The round trip, especially if you return via the coastal path, is around 15 miles, but the views are absolutely worth it. All in all, Abbey View is a beautiful apartment and is recommended for a lovely stay in Whitby. If we return to this part of the UK, Abbey View will be our first choice.

Brilliant location with parking. The property was very spacious and well equipped and all instructions clear. It was exceptionally clean and tidy.

This was a second time staying here, and hopefully not the last. The house is fantastic and has everything you need. Owners are very responsive and helpful. The location is amazing, especially given it has its own parking (a rare treat in Whitby). Thank you!

The steps, though nothing can be done about that. Worth it for the view.
