Fantastic location one of the best views in Whitby! The apartment was very comfy and clean and had everything you need.

To get the best view you have to climb the highest mountain as they say. 75 steps! But was worth it

"Beautiful large apartment with views out of this world both up the coast and across the pier"

Great location, beautiful apartment and amazing views from the balcony. Very clean apartment and isolated on the top floor so no noise sitting watching the world go by. Large bedrooms and plenty of storage space. We even spotted a whale going along the coast which we had been advised was in the area a few days.

Not 100% the control of the owners but external windows could do with a more regular clean due to the amount of Seagulls. Appreciate access isn't easy but looked like it hadn't been done this year.

Dear sirs, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and to lodge a formal complaint regarding the handling of our booking for a seafront penthouse flat, which we had reserved for a four-night stay commencing from the 3rd April 2024 to the 7th April 2024. Despite our anticipation for a relaxing and comfortable stay, our experience was marred by a series of unprofessional mishandlings on your part.Upon our arrival, after enduring a taxing four-hour journey in appalling weather conditions, with two children in tow, we were met with the shocking revelation that our reserved accommodation had been double-booked. This oversight on your part is not only inexcusable but also reflects a gross negligence of duty on your part and based on the already £900 paid by myself can only have been motivated by greed. What compounded our frustration was the subsequent 2.5 hours spent attempting to resolve an issue that should never have arisen, time which we had intended to spend settling in and relaxing after our long journey and enjoying the first night by attending a local restaurant, whilst due to the delay and the anger felt by my wife and we ended up losing any enjoyment from our first evening which left us with no alternative but to re-plan our stay in Whitby which meant we had to reduce the time we had planned in relation to certain venues and attractions. To our further dismay, the alternative accommodation provided is obviously cheaper and markedly inferior in quality to what we had booked and anticipated. This discrepancy is clearly evident when reviewing the pricing and specifications online.Given the circumstances, including the significant inconvenience, the distress caused to my family, and the tangible downgrade in accommodation quality, we find it only fair to request compensation. Therefore, we are seeking a refund amounting to 30% of the total cost of our booking.
