Great location

When a previous review called this place a hostel I though they had just made a typo. However I have stayed in better hostels. The AC was very temperamental and would stay on only for a very short period. There are main radiators that I got working - but again this did not last. There must be a mains for these in another apartment which someone else turns off. Thankfully there was a small overhead heater in the bathroom which we used to warm the room up. I had to juggle batteries around from the AC, and the 2 TV remotes …. just to get batteries that worked …. just to try to get the AC or TV working. Oh minor point …. the TV only has 10 basic channels available. Cobwebs on the ceiling, the towels were poor, and there was watered down watery shower gel and hand soap provided. And providing a kettle but no coffee …. come on. The owners have not been in here for quite some time judging by some of the comments in the ‘complaints book’. The sexual adventures of previous guests can make interesting reading. A lastly …. and the biggie …. the balcony with the garden view. I’m not sure if the owners have ever seen a garden …. but displaying 3 plastic plants and overlooking a concrete wall is definitely not a garden view. This balcony was more fit for a caged animal. It is 4 foot long and 2 foot wide with spiked metal bars caging you in. The balcony seat is the AC outlet box. Please see my pictures. Having the bonus of a balcony is why we booked this …. but the words ‘balcony with a garden view’ need removed from the property listing. The property does have a fantastic location … can’t fault that. This could be a lovely town apartment but sadly is seems the owners don’t care.

Balcony was smaller than expected

The landlord helped us so much. We made a mistake with our reservation and they helped us immediately. The apartment was 4' minutes away from the center of the town and had all the essentials. The floor and shower were clean.

It was on 3d floor so we had to climb many stairs multiple times a day. The toilet area was kind of dirty.

Perfect location in the heart of Zagreb, all main attractions a few minutes away by foot. Staff even though doesn’t speak English is really friendly and ensures you understand the facilities.

Overall clean, specially bathroom and bed were impeccable. Nonetheless some other less used parts could be a bit dusty. Nothing to be worried about though.

The building itself is a work of art and the room was just as described. I really enjoyed my stay in Zagreb and having this room to come back to in the evening was relaxing and comforting.

Well......the stairs! I was prepared for them and they added to the beauty of the building but I was glad I only had to take my big bag up there once!

Nice spacious room, bed very comfortable. Beautiful building, take a moment to look up at where you are staying.

We could cope but we were puffing by the time we got to the top of three flights of stairs although this is clear in the description.
