Sereia Garden Apartment

Very friendly and helpful host. Very easy to get the keys. Great indoor parking. Very clean. Small but very cosy. Very nice people in Coimbra everywhere :-)

This is NOT the fault of the owner of course! but our studio was on the street side and every night except Sunday night we could hear many, many students yell and sing in the streets until 5 in the morning. This gives Coimbra an extra buzz and atmosphere but may keep you from sleeping throughout the night in one session :-) The studio is half-way on a steep hill which is NOT a problem, but elderly people should take that in account (+ no lift in the building). There is no classic dining table with chairs (there are barstools) and there's no desk to work and sit on. No problem of course, except if you want to work with your laptop. Needs some impro ;-) Again NOT the fault of the owner, but Portugal is rather expensive: bus fares, car tax, petrol prizes, electricity, food... all much cheaper in Belgium which was sort of a shock because we were told that the minimum wages were lower in Portugal. This reflected also in what we paid to rent for two weeks; for the same amount we stayed in a 2 bedroom 120 m2 apt. for 5 weeks in Spain. On the other hand: we saw many 20 something students driving brand new electric cars and lots of brand new Mercedes (and several Ferraris!). We probably misread something somewhere. But Coimbra is a wonderful town to visit. Lots of wonderful people, beautiful houses and boulevards. And many great places to see. Don't hesitate to visit!

It is a studio but fully equipped, centrally located and very comfortable for a couple. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Friendly and helpful welcome from owners and good communication. Very clean accommodation with everything you need, including parking. Nice view over the park and excellent location for the university and botanic gardens.

I liked literally everything. The flat is super clean and perfectly equipped. Everything very lovingly done and well thought out. The owners are very friendly and willing to help. The location of the flat is great - central and quiet at the same time. If we come to Coimbra again, we will book the flat again without hesitation.

The high bar stools take a bit of getting used to - it's clear that they were chosen for space reasons, but they are not comfortable. And a warning for people who are not very mobile - the street on which the house is located is really steep.

The apartment had all the kitchen appliances I needed during my trip and more. The WiFi was free and had no issues. The distance to the city center was short enough that it allowed returning back to the apartment to fetch things I forgot on a short notice.

Very clean and comfortable bed.
